Thank you so much, Heimler!! I'm generally scared of SAQs and this helps me figure out what exactly to focus on remembering and practicing. 😁😁

Good luck!
Super helpful your the best Heimler
So inspirational
Is it better to use a person’s name you’re not entirely sure you’ve remembered correctly or to not use a name at all? If you have enough context and have used other vocabulary terms that the readers will know who you’re talking about, but you get their name wrong, is it still possible to earn points on the SAQ?
Thank you!!!!
the BOOOO part 🤣
Thank you

When the examine asks for "how" something changes or is (ex. SAQ #4 2022 Exam), when are we supposed to describe the process in how something changes (ex. legislation, grassroots efforts, etc.) and when do we describe how some group wishes to change the nation (ex. voting rights, banning of alcohol, etc.)?

In that particular question, you’d need to name two reform movements and then compare their methods for changing policy… make sense?

@@heimlershistory Thanks for responding Heimler! I thought that too, but the only problem is that, if you look at the scoring guidelines, I don't think that's what it's looking for. It looks like they're looking for WHAT the reform movements wanted to change (ex. both civil rights and women's movement wanted suffrage), not HOW they did it (ex. both prohibition and women's movement used constitutional amendments). What do I make of this?

@@thefly6537 SAQs dont’t have a rubric though. You just need to be specific enough in your answer and explain it or compare and contrast two things
@RebornKaotic

@@thefly6537 it overall depends on what they’re asking you

@@RebornKaotic For your first comment, they do have a scoring guideline. Posting a link will get my comment deleted, but visit the past APUSH exams page and look for the scoring rubric for SAQs. For your second comment, I understand. The problem is that what they're asking me is unclear. The question asks HOW two reform movements were similar in their methods to achieve change, but the rubric tells me the question they're really asking is WHAT reformers wanted to change. If you have the answer, please tell me. You should probably look at the question I'm talking about, SAQ #4 in the 2022 exam.
Can we use vast generalizations to apply to specific regions? For example, we know that Europe was in its feudal times, so could you mention like Hungary was fuedal (since Hungary is part of Europe)

To say that Europe was in its feudal period is already specific (I mean, depending on the question of course). So if the prompt asked about the social structure of Europe in the Middle Ages, then saying “Europe’s social and political structure was organized according to feudalism” would be specific enough…
Thanks
