the drivers are quiet because they started driving as kids, probably skipped school and not very fluent in speaking english. hard working kids.

Wonderful video Chris ! As for the drivers, they don’t really speak & understand English, so they’re quite shy that’s why they didn’t really talk much. Im glad though that you guys had fun riding the Tartanilla. ❤😁
You and glayds makes me happy always makes me laugh.great video
U go guys! What an interesting vlog 👏🏻 Greetings frm Kuwait 🇰🇼

Good vlog guys and like you showed the carriage rides which is a nice change 😊
Love your content. Your perspective on the Philippines is very much appreciated by someone who was born there but has never gone back in several decades. I also learned very quickly that some Spanish were lost in translation in Philippines. The currency is called peso but locals call a single peso "piso." To add to the confusion, some Visayan speakers interchange their i's with e's in pronunciation. Keep up the great content.
These videos are so 🔥 👌
I’m following Gladys! So glad to find a women traveler! You are a great couple, really enjoy your videos!
Chris please try the LECHON or Filipino Roast Pig. Cebu makes the best Lechon it is similar with the Puerto Rican roast pig, Also try the different Pork recipes especially the MENUDO. Take Care!
The horse-drawn carriage here in the Philippines is called kalesa or karitela, from the same Spanish words calesa and caritela.

Chris, my friend, that’s my very hood in Cebu a costal road the other side of it; before they cover a lot of movies, like hoodlums legend, specially those areas as you pinned it: Thanks for showing my childhood aspects of it in tearing eyes here in New Mexico🥲👌
Filipinos are so very nice every time I watch the show them surprise how nice they are and how polite they are and really makes you want to go

hello Chris and gladys...just a little info about the halo-halo...halo-halo means,to mix everything...so before eating the halo-halo you need to mix all the ingredients, let the shaved ice melt and mix with all the ingredients..and enjoy every bit of it...😊
I missed this tartanilla ride. Before when I am working in colon street thats my transportation back and fort everyday. Hopefully you stop in Pasil market thats the biggest Fish Market in Cebu City.
Hello Bro Chris 🖐️... I'd like your videos of traveling stories 👍👍👍 ... when you'll come to make videos in Bali, Indonesia ? 🤔 ... best regards 🤟🙏
That was cool that the fire department and police department were right next to each other.👍
I really don't have an issue with the horse carriage, it is someone providing for their family. Thanks for making the statement you did. As my grandfather used to say, opinions are like ... :)

Meltons is first one to pop up in my mind. next is moonbis they are both great . and meltons always open around 10am to 9pm in the evening and moonbis opens daily around 6pm onwards got to try it sir and miss beautiful glady's...
hello idol chris watching here in city of siomai tisa labangon. hopefully you can visit here on our place theres a lot of food here in tisa very lami..
Oh Chris! I noticed you really love going to Colon and the old areas of Cebu. Before the high rise buildings, we always go around these areas as a kid. The “kalesa” also called as “tartanilla” or “carromata”. They were a lot back then but they are fewer now but it’s good to know that these kalesas are back in the road.
Chris you have to mixed up all the ingredients before you eat 😅
Soon come to Visit Davao city 😊
Kalesa is common also in the north, Laoag. Ilocos Norte.

The oldest street in the country Colon is named after Cristobal Colon otherwise known as Christopher Columbus. Btw, the way how u pronounced “Ce-booo” sounds like oil in the local dialect… that’s prolly they’re ignoring you :)
Hey chris im from cebu, 100 peso is an honest price to show you around downtown cebu city..
You Should Mix the Halo Halo. Halo Halo in English is Mix Mix
Mix First Before Eat. Halo halo / Mix Mix
