It is amazing what a little bit of paint, paper, and washi tape can do. No one would think the beautiful items would of come from ugly thrift items. You knocked it out! Thanks for the challenge. I hope you get a chance to watch mine.

Wow, Lisa, great flips! With the first piece, I thought your joke about bugs was so funny, haha! But you are right: when a good wash and some paint, you really turned that into an elegant piece. With the second piece, I really like the colors of the flowers with the white. Boxes are definitely useful. Like you said, there are so many odds and ends out there in the world that if you go into a discount store with a creative mind, you can make some great things. Thanks for sharing!

Those turned very nicely! I kind of liked the way the deep glass piece looked with gold paint on the outside only. I especially like your white ceramic vase. If you ever decide to change it up a little, you could pain thin gold lines between the diamond shapes on it.

When you sent me the pic of the "ladybug vase" I wasn't sure what you were going to create but, WOW! I love it, Lisa! I have never used washi tape but now I want to buy some for a DIY.
