Many Christians see marriage as the ultimate goal in life and without it, they feel useless, insignificant, not complete, not accomplished etc. And I know that could be as a result of the teachings we receive. It leads many to become so desperate for Marriage - since this feels like a major part of their life is incomplete without it. Again, some Christians try to serve God or glorify God so that God will give them a spouse. That is where you would need to know that marriage and dating is not the goal to glorify God. As if to say, if I glorify God, He will bring the One to me. If I glorify God, I'll find my spouse... Instead, you should see marriage as a means to glorify God. Having the mindset that as God permits you to date someone, you will cease that opportunity to give God Glory through your lives together. As God permits you to marry, you'll use your marriage to glorify God. Scripture says that the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His Commandments. And I would say here that marriage is not a Commandment nor is it an Obligation. Marriage or dating is a CHOICE. Which is why Paul in 1st Corinthians 7 says that he would suggest that many of us be SINGLE, but then it's a CHOICE! Sorry this is lengthy: let me tell on myself for a bit. I used to have the mindset that if I keep myself from fornication and sexual sin, that God will bring me a good wife. And this is what I believed and it was the motivation for me committing to God to keep away from Sexual sin of all kinds. But then God rebuked me in a Holy Way. He said to me: A good wife is not a reward for your good works, your being holy, your purity etc. Then I was drawn to the passage in Proverbs that says that A Good Wife is a GIFT from the LORD. That convicted me. It humbled me. I thought I would deserve a good wife for keeping myself. Until God corrected me. That my purity and holiness is for my GOOD. It's to help me not be perverse. I'll stop here. I hope this helps

I met a woman a couple months ago in my church. These points were almost a step-by-step of what's been happening within me since meeting her. There's an intrinsic draw to her. This is wildly different than any other time I've had interest in someone. And when I spoke to my pastor about her, he confirmed a lot of things I have been feeling or hearing regarding this, before I had even mentioned them. I'm equally excited and terrified. Doubts and anxieties creep in, but there's this small, still hope within me drawing me to pursue her. Everything seems to line up, so I'm trusting in Christ and taking the steps provided to me before I make the move. Lol please pray for me!

Honestly the confusion part is so real for me because I honestly turned to god more to confirm if he is the right one because I constantly think of this person and when we’re around each other it’s something I’ve never felt nor have experienced. It’s gotten to a point where i just turn to him whenever there’s an encounter on what to say and how to discern

Point no. 2 is really comforting to me and takes away the burden of not having to be completely ready in some life areas in order to get married. After all, partners should grow together in some areas, learning from each other and supporting each other in their growth as Christians. And the point no. 3 is interesting - through confusion God can reveal to me the one. I do have so many questions to which I will hopefully soon find answers to. I once used a plastic egg to show why God allows brokenness into our lives. I opened the egg and told them that when our hearts or lives are broken God can enter in and heal us from the inside out. We often put up a protective shell that keeps out the things that will bless us. We have to allow it to be broken so we will be filled with his Spirit.

It took 33 years and incredible trials beyond comprehension for my boyfriend and I to now be together. If God wills it, it will be.

I feel like a lot of these videos only make sense if you’re a young single Christian with a clean slate. It becomes way more complicated when you’re a middle aged divorcée with kids who only started her walk with God 3 years ago…

This made me cry...When I hit rock bottom about 3 years ago and thought I was going to end up homeless and completely alone after a difficult break up of a 20 year relationship, living in a foreign country, I felt for the first time in my life I should look to the Holy Spirit for guidance and love. Once I decided to leave it to God, I was lead step by step and started to build myself up again. I met a man under whose loving guidance I found a job and bit by bit got back on track. I had never felt like this before in my previous relationship. I have never felt protected and lead with love before by a man. Unfortunately I lost this relationship due to my still lingering fear of abandonment, but I am now convinced that these are lessons I needed to learn. I know I can feel safe in HIS guidance. Lately your channel has been popping on my recommended KZread channels. I am not even a Christian...

Me and my bf of 5 years went through everything said in this video. I always knew in my heart that these events in our lives were God given and I was right. I can’t wait to marry him! I’m so grateful to God for bringing us together.

Im a female and will be 36 at the end of this month. Im single as a Pringle and so sad and trying to keep faith. I desire a Godly husband and children but haven’t been so lucky. 3 years ago I was on my knees calling out for God to reveal my husband to me and I met a man I fell head over heels with the next weekend. I had an overwhelming feeling of wanting to go in a place I hadn’t been in a while and waited 45 mins in parking lot for my girlfriend to get there just to walk in. He was first person I looked up at. We have all sorts of things in common and go to the same church however he is scared of love. He just turned 46 and has only been in one serious relationship and that was over 15 years ago. He isn’t pursuing me so I try to let it go but he is on my mind all day and night. I pray for him daily and for myself to move on. I have a hard time judging if God is speaking to me or my own will but I consistently feel drawn to pray for him and still love him.

Please don't give up hope, God will never forget or forsake you. You will get married at His appointed time. You only need to be still and let Him lead.

This third point about confusion is so spot on with where I'm at right now, met this wonderful young lady at church probably about a year ago, and since then it's been confusing. That's all I'll say in this comment here, but yes I agree 100% about the confusion. It's causing me to lean into God even more because I have to trust him, because I tried handling business myself and it didn't work out the way I thought it would. So I'm letting the Lord have his way, which is what he wants 🙏🏼

I am oddly encouraged by this, even though it's hard things. I want to draw closer to God, and hard things often get me to do so. Am grateful for God's mercy and patience with me ♥️ God bless.

I am or i feel the same. I believe God is letting me know through various means and channels that He loves me and wants a relationship with me which I do with Him, but it has been very rocky and now, after being tested time and again, and many times I have tried to walk away, but never truly have, I always come back to Him, like the prodigal son, and He continues to welcome me back with open arms and showers me with so much grace and mercy. And how much does He loves me? From the fact I have messed up so bad in my life many times and He's still able to bounce me back and from my mistakes, open doors and create opportunities for me, there are all learning oppression and imperative for my growth. And He's got a great and better plan for me ahead, I am sure of it and he does. I believe it, and it is. Amen and, Amen 🙏. Looking forward to it. God bless you and everyone.

I'm one of those people who has been in a state of confusion for a couple of years, though I'm constantly reminded that God isn't the author of confusion. At the same time, I feel like I should either call it quits and start over after the imminent return of Christ, or continue my search and keep getting rejected. Either way, I feel like I'm trapped, and not sure what to do because I will still feel alone, but not in a spiritual sense given the fact that God never leaves us alone. I mean, even if I did find someone around my age, I feel like it's still too late to fulfill my dreams and desires given the fact that people's bodies start to slowly develop problems around mid-twenties and early 30s which will prevent Couples from doing things like going to amusement parks, and other things in that nature. Of course, growing in the Lord is my primary goal with a significant other. Believe it or not, growing in the Lord with someone is part of my dreams and desires as I'm currently serving as a student leader of intervarsity, and there are plenty of couples on leadership together. That's another thing I feel like I'm missing out on. And I guarantee it's extremely joyful to serve the Lord with your significant other by evangelizing and praying with other students.

mark I've had 11 years of high anxiety and stress and its taken its tole on me. I've made some bad decisions to numb the pain I've been in. Now I'm doing my best to come and rely on him.

I am at this point in life right now. Why I know that everything is alright, even through the questioning: Every time I pray over it, the peace of God comforts me. Confusion is a real thing, but God is the author of my story and he knows the end. The best thing is to trust him.

Alas. I feel I have met the one and it seems to be continually confirmed though I have fallen into sexual sin and what needs to happen is to get a full measure of the Holy Spirit as well as increasing in confidence and competence. Please pray for me that this may come to pass that I might please the Lord.

I feel I have been hit by all 3 of these points in the past 6-7 months of my life. It’s been rough, but you are right, I am closer to God and his will and know him better than I ever have in my life. Now I’m waiting for the blessing of coming back together with the person he showed me. So if anyone reads this and is going through a tough time too, just know that you’re not the only one and that God will make a way.

I married, after 2 years he decided to leave rather than us getting help together. I thought this was my forever, I am so broken. I'm ready for this chapter to close, to be humbled. It's because I started becoming closer to God and he did not want to walk with me to Christ even though we married through church. I prayed so much to bring us closer and we only got further apart. As someone with a history of unhealthy or toxic relationships, this video honestly opened my eyes SO MUCH! Deep down, I know that it's possible to meet and be with somebody that feels right and healthy for me, but with the position I'm in right now, I'm finding that perhaps God just needs to work through me alone before I can re-enter the dating scene since my focus is so scatter-brained, bouncing back and forth between two different areas of work as an employee and as a student.

I agree, confusion does not come from God. And these questions are being asked in a positive context (wanting to see the person more), not confusion as to why someone you thought you were supposed to be with is actually not that easy to be around (personality wise) after all. Or there is little romantic attraction to that person. That's confusing to me.

You really nailed it Mark. This spoke to my current experience so much! I found that once I started praying for who I am supposed to marry, it's not as smooth and quick as I hoped lol. Definitely must stand on faith.

I love this video. It is all so true. I talk to God about everything and he reveals what I need to understand and what I need to do.

I thought the reason I haven't met anyone is because God is changing me to be a better person and I will not attract a Godly man until I am transformed into what God wants me to be and I am worthy. This clears up what I was thinking. I attend church and Sunday School and Bible classes and I am friendly but, it seems like the men in my age group over 60 and single, just aren't interested. I am attractive and I dress fashionably with taste.

God sent me the one after I had a broken heart. For 20+ years we built a happy home, children, and family. But then it abruptly ended in 2021 because someone committed sexual immorality. I’m really confused about a guy in my work environment. I feel like he likes me but not in the same way i do. I’m so confused and hope to get my answers soon. Thank you Mark👍👍

I was broken by God during my senior year of high school. I am on the pathway to recovery and healing. I am thankful and joyful that God allowed for this to happen to my family and I. I am thankful that His promises are unfailing and that His Word is true. I am more in love with God than I ever have been in my entire life.

I think one of the primary reasons so many men and women are single in their 30s and 40s nowadays is that their standards are way too high and they base their standards on worldly desires. Both sexes have become very superficial, lustful or materialistic. Men are superficial and lustful when it comes to a woman's appearance. Men are seeking the most youthful, beautiful women to fulfill their sexual desires rather than seeking a Godly relationship with a nurturing, loyal and supportive woman. Women are superficial and materialistic when it comes to seeking men with the highest wealth, status, and resources rather than seeking men who are spiritual, honest, loyal, hard working, responsible and respectful. I've heard many women nowadays refer to these men as "boring", "predictable, "too nice" or "weak". While I agree that there are many Christian men nowadays who have become sheepish and lack self confidence, there are still many confident men who serve the Lord that are often overlooked because they aren't cocky, flashy or wealthy.

💯 resonating.. these are facts and are happening... The confusion leads to greater faith and trust in Him. This process is quite painful but liberating from all the lies the enemy used against us God's will and purpose for our lives to come to pass. He is truly sovereign to turn everything around in His perfect time for His greater glory. ❤❤❤
