I am glad I found your channel. I am a lazy cook that is starting the AIP diet for the first time.

I love soup - I think I need some of those big cube silicon trays. Seems more convenient than using freezer bags or glass jars!

They are convenient, but all the methods seem to have their benefits and drawbacks. My biggest gripe with freezing them that way is that they get freezer burned a lot quicker than in freezer bags. Which isn't a problem if you're eating them within 3 or so months, but sometimes I forget about things, haha.

@@MicheleSpring thanks for letting me know about this. I guess these would need to be for short term storage only!

Hi Michele, do you use organic produce only, grass-fed beef and pasture raised poultry?

No, unfortunately I can't afford to do that. I'd absolutely love to - but it's just not within our budget. So we do it when we can, but we also eat conventionally raised meats as well.

I have a question. I want to start the AIP protocol but I apparently have an allergy to everything coconut and I even tried the Rainforest simple coconut milk and that was a no go. Can I switch that out for tigernuts or something in recipes? Also I need a cookbook or something that’s easy to use to where I can prep and have things ready to go and I’m so overwhelmed with all of the number of cookbooks and it seems like everything uses coconut. Is there any resources that you can me with so I can start the protocol? I tried reading a sample of the autoimmune protocol book by Sara ballentyn but it’s just really overwhelming.

Yeah, typically you can replace coconut milk with tigernut milk and it should work (unless it specifically states not to). And have you checked out my website? If you go to the recipes tab, scroll down on the checkboxes to "Speciality", you can check the box for "Coconut-free" and it'll give you all of the recipes that are either naturally coconut-free or that have specific substitutions for coconut within them. thrivingonpaleo.com/browse-paleo-whole30-aip-recipes/
