My goal for today was to get 119 and 104 in one video since they both had KCS leader, but I somehow managed to get 6 trains on the mactier. I would have gotten 8 if I stayed up late for 104 & H49 but oh well.
A surprise CPKC 100 made its way through Bolton. CP 8075 was the leader of this train and had about 8 autoracks out front then the rest intermodal. This train had a rare grey ghost unit which was KCS 4517 as the DPU. CP 9734 was trailing last at the end of the train. This train stopped for 5 minutes at Huntington rd since 100 was calling the Vaughan yard for clearance to enter the yard. 100 departed Vaughan 2 hours later with the autoracks only. He left the / DPUs at the yard.

Then, a later than usual 119 shows up to Palgrave just before 11 am. One of the better catches you’ll see on cp 119 this year. I saw KCS 4769 lead on 113 one week ago and now I got to see him lead another train, this time on 119. Not only was KCS leading but there was a grey ghost as the DPU, basically making this train KCS only.

As soon as 113 got to the Bolton siding, 420 comes through the south side of Tottenham in approach to Bolton. CP 8036 and KCS 4010 were the only units on this train. Some guy tried to run through the crossing and he was lucky that the train wasn’t going quick because it could have easily hit him at track speed from that close. Don’t ever try this. I’m sure the engineer almost got heart broken with that guy running the signal.

After a meet with 420 in Bolton, 113 departed Bolton in approach to Palgrave. 113 will be meeting 112 in Baxter. CP 8141 was the leader and had a nice p3 on it. KCS 4878 was trailing second and UP 3054 was the mid DPU. I was situated between mount hope rd and hunsden sideroad. I tried a different angle so I can see both crossings activate with the train coming around the corner. 113 got to Bolton at 1:30 pm.

After a meet with 113 at Baxter, 112 heads south down the mactier sub. It will be meeting 421 somewhere in Toronto. This train had CP 8902 leading with CP 8067 as the DPU & KCS 4791 as the rear DPU.

My 6th & final catch of the day was interesting LOL, the same units on cp 100 this morning show up again in the same day but on cp 101. All these units heading back to Vancouver. I wish the grey ghost was leading. 101 will be meeting 104 in medonte. It has taken 104 forever to go from parry sound to medonte. I clocked 101 at 45 mph. Also this was my third Grey ghost unit of the day!
