3 Great SONY lenses for Wildlife Photographers

Ғылым және технология

Yes, I am biased to Sony since I am an ambassador, but you can use the focal lengths as an idea for wildlife photography across different brands.
I speak about 3 different lenses that will shoot different budgets.
The Sony 200-600 works incredibly well with the Sony 70-200. It does not destroy your bank account and gives you great versatility.
The Sony 600 f4, as expensive as it is, is a magnificent piece of glass that will bring you a ton of joy!

I have two of the lenses the Sony 200-600mm and the Sony 70-200mm 2.8 ii and have the 1.4 and the 2x converters but the 600mm and the Sony A1 are just a little out of my reach so I also went with the Sony A7R V camera and loving this set up for here in Alaska for the wildlife here

Thanks for a great video. I currently shoot wildlife professionaly with only the 200-600 and my A1. I'm so in love with my lens I hesitate anytime I've tried to convince myselft to get a prime. My copy is GM sharp and I rountinely crop my 50mp A1 images down below 10 with no loss of detail. The versatility it gives me always trumps me deciding to get a prime. I do find myself intrigued by the new 300mm prime. Have you tried it? It would blow away my lens at 300 2.8 but at 600 it would only be 1/3 stop faster in camera but way slower in that I'd have to add a TC in the field if I needed it.

The one lens I carry as everyday be ready for it time is the Sony FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS. For the long shot you go APS-C and get 36-360mm. I used for years till the FE 200-600mm came out and got the 24-70mm f/2.8 and 20-200mm f/2.8. Sometimes you grow and play. I used the 24-240 from birding some close and some far away (remember APS-C on a button), a solar eclipse close up on ring and zoom out for the wide look, You have to be fast and nimble. but also great for wildlife when out and about scouting. You can crop and then enlarge keeping things sharp and low noise. This lens fits in a teardrop bag on camera on the left side and a super wide 16-35 on the other if called for on the right side with extra batteries and lens cleaner to boot, even a clear raincoat if it rains. The lens is Sharp and with any Sony even a dusk shot can be made even did some Milky Ways when I grabbed my day bag instead of by night bag but later remembered the 16-35 was in the bag. Great starter lens at a good price.

Thank you! My firm favourite right now is the Sony A1, for all kinds of photography. In addition, I also like the Sony A7R5.
