A colorful flock of migrating birds was flying south for the winter. I think was is the correct word because a colorful flock is singular. What do you think. Please explain it.

Hi! See that in British English, collective nouns (as flock in this case) can often take a plural verb if the focus is on the individuals within the group. And here the focus is on "birds". Cheers!

We needed the full sentence I'm afraid! And it can't be 'went' because we need 'to' as well. So 'visited' is correct. The rest are correct though, great job!
