oh my god, I had the exact same experience today, but thanks to a very patient dad and lots of conditioner I didn't have to cut it off. I still ripped out a lot of hairs tho and will never use those things ever again :D

How long does it last?

I’ve never had bangs before (I’m almost 21) and just got curtain bangs on Thursday. I loved them while my hairstylist cut and styled them. I had a meltdown as soon as I got home an hour after and sobbed my eyes out in front of the mirror. And then I loved them again half an hour later and now here I am watching tutorials because I have to wash my hair today lol

That’s it! I just watched the how to cut curtain bangs and now he’s showing me how to style. It’s a sign. I must cut curtain bangs!

I love how he always is nice and kind in a way but sassy and mean in a way luv Brad

Anyone else with curtains bangs who is lazy or doesn't want to use heat on their hair, I recommend using hair rollers for your bangs. I put medium/big hair rollers on my curtain bangs on 90% dried hair, either overnight (if you are okay sleeping on your back) or just like an hour before leaving the house. It definitely doesn't look perfect like if you style it but will be much better than just having those lifeless pieces of hair on your eyes the whole day.

@@honeyb1095 All pharmacies/ cosmetic stores that sell more than makeup usually have them (like Boots in the UK) and you can probably find them in bigger grocery stores or retail shops (Wilko, Tesco extra, probably Target in the US etc). I would ask for self adhesive plastic hair rollers (in medium size, or whatever you prefer).

@@sstjohn96 I use velcro rollers and usually roll them away from my face. So that the rollers end up on top of my temple. And when you put them on, you should have your hair brushed well and also kind of tighten the hair in between by dragging the roller through the piece of hair so that it is straightened and then start rolling tightly (I don't know how to explain it properly, sorry).

Mannequin heads these days and their impossible-to-attain beauty standards! 🤣 If you really want to laugh, take a look at the Silk or Lace wig website and compare the difference between the mannequin head selling the brand new hair vs. the "lightly worn" mannequin (aka single mother of 3, getting her three school-aged kids through zoom school and billing 60 hours a week as a corporate lawyer to pay off her student loans and maintain her wine habit, lol).

my favorite way i’ve always styled longer bangs like that is to straighten the hair upwards, almost backwards, and curl it towards the back of your head. with the same technique he showed in the video. gives the same flip but more volume and stays out of your eyes more!

That’s my go to method! Flat iron up and back so it has a lot of volume and it’s swoopy! I’ll hit it with some light hold hairspray or sea salt dry shampoo texturizing spray to give it a little more hold out of my face and a more 70s punk look. I’ve tried styling them for years with a blow dryer but for some reason I just cannot get it right the same way I do with the flat iron!

I definitely suggest getting a blowdryer round brush so it’s like the first step in this video but I like in 1 and it leaves my curtain bangs looking so good!

If you have blunt, straight across bangs do this with a blow dryer... Blow the hair to the left, then the right then I blow underneath for volume then put it in place and blow downwards from the top. Works everytime.
