actually i am loosing my patience, it took me 3 months just to find out how to remove the background, until now i cant remove the background, this is i think the 39th video tutorial, how amazing is that this photoshop, very user friendly

If Photoshop is becoming too frustrating you could try something like Canva that has an automatic background removal tool. It's not as good as what Photoshop can do but is fine for basic selections on a simply background!

Same, every video I go on what ever they select it’s never the same menu as my photo shop. Complete broken system.

Hi I used the pen tool to select and object, however photoshop wouldn't allow me to cut (the cut option is blurred) do you know what to do?

Hi Brendan, I only recently discovered you and your channel and I`m now a subscriber. Can I say how easy you make understanding Photoshop, which I find very overwhelming and hard to understand and even though I`m on Adobes Photography Plan and have access to Photoshop, I very rarely use it, because quite honestly it frightens me. i`ve just signed up and received your first few lessons and I`m currently working through the emails and enclosed videos, so hopefully at the end of this I`ll feel more comfortable in using Photoshop. Thanks! It works only for simple images. I have a template with more than 15 to 20 elements, and it didn't work at all. I wish the removal of background should not be so complicated for complicated templates. Thanks

Thanks a lot for this tutorial. One issue I have is: in my Mac when I click Opt+Click on the layer mask, I am not able to see the mask (the black and white image). It only shows the subject of the image, without the background. Can you suggest how to rectify this?

Great tutorial - thank you. As someone who's been professionally compositing images since Aldus/Ulead Photostyler (prehistoric days before Adobe)....it's sure gotten easier to remove backgrounds **IF** you're up-to-date with the most recent PS. The manual methods I've self-taught myself over the years are more precise and accurate...but far more time-consuming unfortunately. Being a perfectionist has its drawbacks, lol.
