The reason the first method works is that the actual fault is that the connection between the screen and the rest of the computer has worked loose (it's held in place with adhesive tape). Putting pressure on the corners of the screen may be enough to press the screen down re-engage the tape, which solves the issue. On my Acer, the tape is about 4 inches in from the left side of the screen, about 3 inches from the top. Applying pressure there causes the fault to correct. Doesn't require any force, just slight pressure on the right area.

Well it worked for me 2 years ago but one month ago it came back at the same place and now pressure is not working still when I press it hard lines fade away but as I lose pressue it came back .....need help

hi, i am commenting to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! This issue happened a few times to me, and the first method worked for the first time! It was a temporary fix because it happened again so I hook my laptop to another monitor and two days passed, it looks normal again! You are AWESOME!!!

hec yes first method worked what a legend! I have had a really good computer sitting out of action for about a year because the screen was pink! I will try to remember to do a follow up in a few weeks/month to see if it permanently resolved the issue.

thank you. no more closing my laptop with force. I think the wire becomes lose over time from closing it. Keep pressing the lower left of the screen and slowly around the whole screen works wonder for me.

Did you press on all 4 corner or on the top / bottom 2 corner?

The first method worked for me. I had a green vertical line that disappeared after pressing the corner. Thank you.

You a real G man, method 1 worked for, I closed my laptop this weekend which I never do coz we didn't have power and when I opened it this morning it showed pink lines, I hope they don't come back but I will never close it again until I buy a new one

Third method permanent fix tha mere liye, app try kr lo sabhi methods. Agarr display na thikk ho toh service centre se repair krvana pdega.

Yeah the same. The greenish tint with pink line at top screen? Having same issues, after updating the drivers (control panel --> device manager --> update driver at "display adapters") fixed mine for some time. Yet, it has returned. Im looking into 2 problems: 1. Loosen screen cable, which will require dissambly the computer(if u have no experience watch a vid before... on youtube), which may need to soldering, or to replace the screen caple itself which is cheap to buy(depends what model). 2. It might be also that the screen itself is quite damaged, and that will cost much more to replace the screen, not sure if it will work. Allert: im an amateur, trying my best to self understand, as my computer asus n550j laptop wasn't bought but fixed as well. Have a asus n550j laptop, will edit my answer if i will see any solution.

Tiger Boom i do have some tips. don’t watch the videos on how to fix it since you need it professionally fixed. don’t press on the corners since it ruins the lcd more and loosens it.
