Hey y'all! This video is all about putting a spin on some of our favorite classic Halloween treats!! Back when the world wasn't quite so chaotic, we used to get homemade popcorn balls, homemade rice krispie treats, etc. It's sad that our kids and grandkids don't get to experience quite the carefree trick or treating like we used to. I hope that this video helps you show your young (or old) ones a little of what it was like when life was a little simpler!

S'MORES POPCORN BALLS:
10 cups plain popped popcorn
1/4 cup bitter
1 bag mini marshmallows
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups Golden Grahams cereal
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Pop your popcorn and be sure to remove any kernels. In a large pot, melt the butter. Add in the marshmallows and stir constantly until they melt.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Add the popcorn and cereal and mix to fully coat. Pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet to cool a little. Sprinkle on the chocolate chips (make sure it's cool enough not to melt your chocolate...or you can add the chips after you form the balls). Grab a little handful and press into balls. Add more chocolate chips (press them in) if you want. Store them in a container or plastic baggie.
CANDY CORN RICE KRISPIE TREATS:
*Prepare your cake pan with a sheet of parchment paper*
For the YELLOW ring:
2 1/4 cups Rice Krispies
2 1/3 cup mini marshmallows
2 tbsp butter
Spray your bowl and add the cereal. Put marshmallows and butter into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Mix well and then add in your yellow food coloring. Pour the marshmallows into the cereal and stir well to coat. Place it in your pan creating the outer ring. Press firmly! Set aside.
For the ORANGE ring:
1 1/4 cups Rice Krispies
1 1/3 cup mini marshmallows
1 tbsp butter
Prepare the cereal. Place marshmallows and butter into bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds. Mix and add orange food coloring (or add yellow and red like I did until you get the desired orange color). Make the second ring in your pan. Be sure to press firmly down and against the yellow ring. Leave a hole in the center for the white part.
For the WHITE ring:
3/4 cup Rice Krispies
1 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 tbsp butter
Prepare cereal. Place marshmallows and butter in bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Mix well and add to cereal. Coat well and press into the center of the pan. Press firmly down and against the orange ring.
Let it cool completely, flip over and cut.
CARAMEL APPLE GRAPES: (1/2 RECIPE)
20-25 grapes
1/2 cup caramel bits
1 tbsp heavy whipping cream
Toppings of choice (nuts, graham crackers, toffee bits, granola, etc)
Wash grapes and dry very well. Put a toothpick into the "pretty" end of the grape so that the stem part will be covered in caramel. In a small pot, add the caramel bits and cream and let melt. Dip grapes into the caramel and then into the toppings.
