I'm going against the grain here but the Amelia frames looked the absolute best on you!

I had a similar experience. I was visiting my daughter, and we had been out but took two separate cars. I got home first, walked in the front door and immediately heard a man's voice. I backed up, got in the car, locked the doors, and called my daughter. Me: "How far are you guys?" My daughter: "Why?" Me: "There is a man in your house." My daughter: "Call 911...wait George (my son in law) says no. We are turning the corner." In goes my son in law. He seems to be in there forever but eventually emerges victorious, burglar in hand. It was my grandson's Buzz Lightyear doll! I was so embarrassed.

@Adrian Hollow - Your story reminds me of my daughter's Furby that she got for Christmas one year. After we all loaded up in my ex's truck to go to his Mom's house for Christmas dinner, I realized I forgot something and went back in the house through the back door - something I never do. As I am gathering what I forgot, I hear in a wobbly childlike voice, "Play with me!" I just about jumped out of my skin in fright until I realized it was my daughter's Furby!! Mandy, I loved the Batter Chatter! I hope to see more!!

😂 Mandy I think you and your hubby are my husband’s and my soulmates. We had something very similar to us happen. When my daughter was a week old I was awoken by a man’s voice coming over the baby monitor. I ran in to her room ready to go momma bear on someone with only the monitor remote as a weapon. I ran to the crib and she was sleeping away so I stood there trying to find who was going to be ripped to shreds by an exhausted Momma. I opened the closet door and no one was there. As I stood in the middle of the room trying to decide what to do next, the heat kicked on and moved the curtains which were next to a pile of brand new toys. Then I heard the same man’s voice exclaim “I feel great!” It was a sleep and snore Ernie being jostled by the curtains. Needless to say the batteries came out of Ernie and were never replaced 😂😂😂 Now that same little girl is getting married this Saturday and I’m thinking that apple cider cake will have to be served at the rehearsal dinner we are hosting. Thanks for the wonderful recipes!!!!

These are all great fun stories. I got a good laugh. My granddaughters birthday is here....I can't believe she's already turned eleven. Mandy love batter chadder. Also if you are taking it to a gathering and would like it to be up higher. Look around your house a milk glass vase , a candle holder of some kind, upside down cup mug hot glue it together on the bottom. Decorate it with whatever the season maybe. Love the bowl but it took up to much room. I like that the bowl can be used for other things. I will be looking to get one. Thanks again Mandy. I was talking about the truffle bowl. I don't think I made that clear. Sorry!

We lived in Spring Lake behind Pope Air Force Base! That was a happening place back then. We went back 4 yrs ago and sadly, alot had changed, so unrecognizable. But thank you for your service Steven! Mandy. you could get some 1 cup size glass custard cups & do mini trifles. I liked those 2 tone glasses with the blue bottom. You & Steven are so cute together. He's a funny guy.

Helpful tip maybe- Put down broken pieces of graham crackers under your marshmallows before you broil them and it should slide on/off your spatula/pan much easier.

I was thinking maybe chilling the trifle, put the marshmallows on top right before serving and using a mini baking torch to toast the marshmallows. Might be a nice texture contrast too. Love your Graham cracker idea - easy transfer of the marshmallows for sure!

My hubby was in AF stationed in Omaha, NE. We lived in apt on 3rd floor. One night while almost asleep, we heard a crash in the kitchen. I started to get up, my brave hubby put his arm across my throat saying DON’T GET UP. I said in a scratchy voice, you’re choking me. Mr brave moved his arm, we sneaked to kitchen, the fire escape outside the kitchen had frozen and broke off the building. We laughed so hard. This was in the early 60’s. Some of the best days of our over 60 years of marriage. Imaginations can really take over. 🤣🤣

Thankyou for sharing such beautiful stories. I have a lot of my own but alas my hubby passed nearly 4 years ago. I just want you to know that you both have something special together and you never let it go, no matter what. My husband and I laughed and cried but the laughing always weird more that the crying. I ❤️❤️❤️ hearing those stories! They made me laugh and remember by crazy-scared-alone smorgasbord of cheese in a can, Pringles, ice cream, hot fudge, brownies Coke, & frozen pizza, and shear terror babysitting at a house for the weekend, when I plopped down on the couch and heard a freaky voice repeatedly say, "Can you spell ORANGE?". I screamed, grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and looked everywhere for the gremlin that was hiding....Turned out to be a Speak & Spell (Google it) under the couch whose leg was halfway in the toy. 😂🤣

oh you brought back a memory for me! We lived in an apartment house with several friends, and none of them could cook...I made a big batch of chili and sold it for a buck a bowl!!! Super simple "recipe" back then, ground beef, onion, taco seasoning and cans of chili beans, garnished with some cheese. Thanks for the flashback!

Mandy I loved all of these videos and enjoyed the recipes too and we'll try that trifle. And yes I like it when you show your interaction having a good time and tell him a story or story or 2. The one about someone in your house I think every couple has went through something like that but I laughed so much. And I do the same when my husband goes on a weekend fishing trip with his brothers. I buy and cook the stuff that he doesn't really like (which isn't alot he enjoys esting)and of course there is all sorts of treats.

I really enjoyed the Batter Chatter. The glasses the 2 toned with light blue at the bottom looked good. Actually, I like all though not a fan of the last pair. I will definitely try the Apple Cider Donut Cake.

The trifle turned out very pretty. A kitchen torch would help with toasting the marshmallows.

I had a budweiser frog screen saver. Son inlaw was home 27:50 with little baby. My screen saver started up in deep voices. SIL sat on kitchen floor with baby hiding in the dark til he figured it out!!!

This was hilarious! Our 'somebody's-breaking-in-nope-false-alarm' story was when we lived in town, not really a terrible part of town but not the greatest either. We had a motion light right outside our bedroom so we would have a heads-up if someone was walking around the house at night. Well our motion light came on (not totally unheard of for that to happen, as there were trees close enough to set it off if the wind was blowing) and I had just commented on it to hubby when we heard what sounded like someone trying to kick in the front door. We immediately went into 'holy shiz!' mode, hubby grabbed a gun and I dialed 911. The kicking in the door noise went on for a full three or four minutes until a cop got there, hubby standing there with the gun ready the whole time even though we were like, geez if they're trying that hard they should have been able to kick it in by now. It was just a wooden door, not a bank vault LOL. Well, what had happened was our screen door wasn't shut all the way and the wind was blowing really hard, hard enough to slam the screen door open and break the arm that keeps it from swinging freely, which since it was sticking out was coming back and hitting the wooden door every time the wind blowed the door around. At least it was a legit enough situation that we didn't feel silly calling 911, LOL.

Hi Mandy! I think you should do the Chase in the Brady colors if you can. Also the computer story SO funny. If you let your apple cider cake cool more the glaze would stay more on top. Just a thought about browning the marshmallows- if you have a Creme Brule torch type tool, put the marshmallows on top and just brown them with the mini torch.

Those Screensaver were back in the day! I had the that one and the Talking Tom one also. I loved them but, then again, I never thought they were going to kill me either. 😆

I watched the apple cider doughnut cake and realized that I had everything to make it!!! It's in the oven right now. Can't wait to have a slice later this evening. Thank you for these desserts.

Really enjoyed this video. Tried the apple cider donut cake today. My husband and I are in the midst of Hurricane Ian clean up and I decided to cook for the neighbors.
