In your sound clips, it does sounds quiter on the inside but sounds more throaty when you get on the gas. To me, I like the way it sounds now

It sounds louder on the outside it seems since theres no leak and all sound goes behind you

it's not quiter, it's just a deeper tone. it has more rumble and less scream now...I have an lb7 with 3in downpipe, 5in exhaust to 8in axle dump with bigger fixed vane turbo and it's stupid loud

Do u have a lot of hiss with the straight pipe? I don’t mind the hiss too much but I don’t want it to cover up the Rumble or turbo sound completely. I’m thinking of getting muffler to cover that up but if it’s not too bad I would do straight pipe

Lol the lb7 doesn’t have the hiss noise because the vgt turbo used on 04-5+ is what gives it the hiss noise that I think sounds terrible

What year is this duramax ? I like how it looks with the shiny wheels.

I installed a 3" MBRP downpipe on my LMM and it was a huge PITA. I just installed a 5" straight exhaust on my LML this week, not looking forward to doing the downpipe on this LML when I get to it.

608 DIESEL lml is easy as hell did mine in 35 mins. Hardest part was pulling the two sensors and 9th injector. You can also pull it with the heat shield on comes out just takes some wiggling. Good luck lml sounds amazing when its done 👍

I have a LML I just installed a 3” dp and from inside the cab it sounds like the intake is sucking more air but I narrowed it down to the Dp. Is it normal?? It drives me crazy I can’t tell if it’s normal or if there’s a leak it’s only when I reach 1500-2000 RPM’s please if anyone has noticed it lmk. your truck sounds amazing bro 😎

When you go to tune and delete it you should go with werhli piping! Amazing quality products! (I agree with the downpipe being a pain in the a**)

Where did you get those mirrors and do they plug and play?

After you pull all the heat sheilds out and all the fiberglass off the firewall all that shits pretty easy to get to

Sounds so sick man. I did the same exact set up minus the downpipe. About how long would you say it took you? Did you have to remove the oil dipstick? And make sure you do the tunes before you do the intake. I’ve heard it will go into limp mode. But not 100% sure about that

I’ll have a video up tomorrow explaining more on it, didn’t have to remove the dip stock just take the bolts out to move it some.

Bruh the mirrors, wheels, and then the Down pipe. Were you in the ball park of 3,000 or more ? I’ve got a 2011 lml and I’m getting a set of hostiles and just got my downpipe ordered. Nice truck changed it quick.

I just did my exhaust and you are correct, when you are cruising or off the gas, it is nearly silent now. I thought that was very odd too. Did you feel a difference in power and pedal response?

I'm about to do my 3" Downpipe with a y bridge and an intercooler pipe. Hopefully I can get back to you on my experience.

Did the downpipe and charge pipe with y-bridge. I do notice a difference in acceleration.

Some people say it doesn't have that scream anymore quote me if in wrong

Stock turbo?

Would having a body lift help in any way for changing the downpipe? My buddy wants me to help with changing his and he has a body lift with a torsion key to level the truck

Definitely would make it easier, increasing the distance between the engine and firewall

Not on 07 and older

More like 3” down pipe to 4” front pipe to 5” mid and tail pipe and mine goes to 6” tip lol

Have to hear it in person to really tell the difference, that's how my lml was

I’m don’t exactly remember which exhaust I went with but it was supposed to be a 5 inch from down pipe back but when I got it the first section was only 4 inch is that normal?

Yes, as far as I know with cummins anyway you do get a smaller sized downpipe with an exhaust kit and then it becomes Whatever size exhaust you ordered 4 or 5 inch, and from my recent research Duramax seems to be the same

I've never heard a diesel engine sound that good.
