I remember being a kid, about 13, and i was trying to download Eminems song 'When I'm Gone', accidentally downloaded this and it's the best mistake i've ever made. Now i'm a huge 3 Doors Down fan, got their lyrics tattoo'd on me, play most of their songs on guitar, seen them live. It's crazy how i just accidentally came across them but i'm so glad i did.

I used to sing this to my son that passed away in 2002. He had Leigh's disease. This song always cry but at the same time It makes me smile because he always would smile because it was one of the few times I would see him smile. His disease slowly took away all his abilities (the last one was he could no longer breathe without a ventilator) This whole album means so much to me. He was my whole world.

I didn't abandon my mother she stabbed me in the back a million times just to make herself look good for friends and family after she crossed the line for the 2ncd time with my new niece I lost all sense of self and finally cut that rope she kept around my neck. Being somebody with millions of personalities all climbing a hill to be the dominant personality this makes me think of all the things I've done and suffered just to make sure she was okay even while my mind was fighting me to leave yet I did everything I l knew how to do to keep my sanity and that secret part of me that was always clawing it's way to the surface. After five years of non stop abuse and being put down I left and have never been happier altho she still tries to rope me into plans or ideas she has. Once I'm sure she's changed I'll give that trust back but to be honest she hasn't and the latest mistake could of ended badly for her and my niece

@@akisalmenaho8473 you are spot on. We found out just five days before my dad died at just 48 years old that he even had cancer. Then eight months later my papa, who couldn’t cope with losing his first born son, laid down on the couch for a nap one day and never woke up. You never know when the last time will be the last time. My parents had a rule I use with my fiancé and kids to this day, no matter what you are feeling or how upset you might be with each other in a moment you never leave the house or go to bed without telling each other you love each other. It's a military tribute song..
My father passed away on June 26th. 3 am, he died of a heart attack quietly in his sleep. I am only 19, and I can admit I am not the same anymore. Seeing a dead body let alone my FATHER. His freezing cold body. His stiff body. His alarm to go to work at 4:10 rang and he just lied there. Baba I miss you...I keep crying every night. I LOVE U I LOVE U

My grandma died Dec 31st, 2019. She loved 3 doors down and this played on the radio and I broke down. I hope she's doing okay up there, I kiss her already
0:00 to 4:22 is my favorite part
I love this song.. they re so good the words are true n life of real feelings.. emotions and attachment.. of someone who u want to be loved n it's a lonely place it's scary place and love them wen they're goe. Basically is mainly.. its almost as if they don't realize wat they had n it's gonna..didn't realize they loved one till ur gone... And they blind to see it while with the person. Sometimes it takes to be away from one to realize the rue feelin for whom they're with..
When you loose one of your best friends this is one of the best songs that can explain your situation...

You know a song is good when it replays itself even though you didn't click anything to do so.
Somewhere in this darkness there's a light that I can't find Maybe it's too far away or maybe I'm just blind...

this song i fall asleep to every day
Lately songs have been randomly popping in my head... this one did and it’s now been added to my “Nice Nostalgia” playlist where it should have been in the first place 😊
I'm rocking this song love this song it never gets old and never will 💯💙❤️
Who's still listening to this song in 2019?
Only a Combat Veteran will truly know the meaning of this song. Because this song rings true for Us.
This is one of my favorite songs by them. Love this band so much.
Fantastic Song! Just saw these guys at Mohegan Sun yesterday! It was great! I saw them with my dad, my brother (who's in the airforce) and my sister-in-law. Great guys! Very positive, nonjudgemental and over all a very cool band!
who would dislike a song that's a tribute to the troops who fight for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@veralidaine97
4 жыл бұрын
They're not fighting for us. Poor bastards are being used as pawns. Our sick government uses them for wealth and power. Not just our government, all of them. It's revolting but as long as people buy into the propaganda, war is never gonna end.
Roaming through this darkness I'm alive but I'm alone. Part of me is fighting this but part of me is gone
Rest in Peace Matt Roberts.

Hace casi 4 años que me dedicaste esta canción y siempre amare escucharla una y otra vez.
My dad did a slideshow for my mom in 2006 on the Enterprise Cruise with this song when he was in the Navy (at the end of the video I was wearing a shirt that says “I love jet noise” 😂). I was 2 years old then and this song still has a place in my heart ❤️
This song always fires me up, I love it.
This song and centuries by fallout boy are playing at my funeral
This is my song to everyone who does or don't appreciate me.. But will only hurt when I'm gone..
Love the drums in all 3 Door Down songs💕
2019. And this is still the definition of what art is
Haven't heard this song in years. Still know all the lyrics. *fist-pump*

Today 10/18/2019 I lost my father at 56 years old to cancer. This was his favorite song. Carl "Wheelz" Adams... Im gonna miss you pop...
5 years ago I lost everything, my wife and kid were taken and I just lost everything. Now I finally found something and I'm honestly scared to lose this one too, she played this song and I actually had to stop the car on the way to where we were going and cry because this just hits home
