3 Disturbing Vanlife Stealth Camping Stories | Rain & Haunting Ambience

In this video i'll be telling you 3 different disturbing and weird stories about people stealth camping around the country. Hiding in plain sight isn't always the best idea and you'll know why after listening to these stories.
What is stealth camping?
Stealth camping is the act of parking your camper van or motorhome in any area without paying for a parking spot, ranging everywhere from residential streets to the middle of the countryside. It's sometimes referred to as boondocking, free camping or wild camping, but it's all the same thing.
These stories are meant to relax and unsettle you.

I'm female and was smitted by a hot Marine back in the day, but I wasn't in the right mind and couldn't be honest with myself in getting in the relationship with him. So I didn't pursue it.😢

I just had to listen to these stories. I'm 71yrs old andbfor the second time in 3 years, my landlords sold the property I was living at out from under me. Only this time, there are no places to rent. And those that are, are exorbitantly priced. For instance, a 1bd/1ba efficiency apt will run you over $1200/per month. For the last two weeks, I'm in motel but it's around $500 for seven days. So, unable to live in the storage unit with all my stuff, which isn't much, I am not looking forward to start stealth car camping at my age. On one hand, I do live in the Southwestern Appalachian's about 20 miles south of the Smoky Mountain National Park in NC, and about 12 miles north of the GA border. At least I have a small SUV and can zip around the back roads. I have a number of local friends helping me look for a place. At least, it's Spring here, with the occasional cold snap, but I can live with that. And for the next few months, I can save money and hopefully find a place later around autumn. Wish me luck! "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all! Gloom, despare, and loneliness on me!" LOL! 😅😅😂

Really enjoyed the stories, even though none of them were actual stealth camping. It means to camp undetected by using the environment to your advantage. These stories were just normal urban camping, something I really wouldn’t recommend to anyone, it’s a surefire way to end up posting in r/letsnotmeet - or even hurt.

I'm loving the stealth camping alot actually I've never actually heard of this and I would love to hear more. And also it helps that your tone and the way you read the stories is awesome. I would for this to be your thing also. 😊

I was homeless for a few months w my pitbull living in my Chevy Tracker. I mainly stay at a Lock on the Erie canel because it was well lit, and bonus, the state trooper barracks were almost right across the street 😅 I met a lot of really nice people and some crazys! The troopers and lock keepers knew my situation, and would keep an eye out for me. The only real problem i ever had though, was cleaning up the area after their weekly concert. It was dusk and i was collecting cans (5 cent deposit in NY) and picking up trash in the picnic area and didnt see a skunk come out of the woods 😢 my dog did! She dragged me while she caught it, breaking my nose and my glasses! I was able to get the skunk out of her jaw and drag the dog to my tracker finally. Was the most unpleasant night ever, having to sleep w her in my truck😢 Thankfully,my buddy Gail showed up early, smelled the situation, and ran and got stuff to deskunk me, dog and truck!😂😂
