I’ll never in 100 years ever understand why people leave their doors unlocked. I’ve lived alone for over 10 years now and the only time I ever unlock my doors is when I use them. Seems a lot of these stories are the result of an unlocked door at home.

Y’all get mad over anything. Being a female and attractive is scary because you think people (especially males) are out to hurt you.
Being "young and attractive" isn't a requirement. Someone broke my 70 year old neighbor's window in order to gain access to her house to attempt to assault her in her bedroom. Thankfully she had raised three boys and was no pushover but she was hurt and understandably frightened by the time she chased him away. And, unfortunately, it did turn out to be someone living in an apartment building on our street. Her sons take turns staying with her now. Edit: I won't be responding to any more comments here as the comments have gone from useful discourse to simply trying to get a rise out of me bc I rightly pointed out that anyone can be a victim of the crimes in the video and age and appearance have nothing to do with it.

The reason why Mr. Nightmare is so popular is his no-nonsense delivery. I rarely subscribe to “true horror” channels because the majority of the narrators either have a voice I don’t like or speak with some sort of affected voice, trying to be scary or edgy or literate or urban or whatever. But while Mr. Nightmare delivers each story in a very straightforward manner, he knows when to use inflection properly. In other words he doesn’t overdo it so that when he does do it it’s effective. As a side note, I think he is also Chilling Scares. If not that channel is a hell of a copy cat. Either way it’s pretty good so if you like Mr. Nightmare you might wanna check Chilling Scares out.

Yep, I ended up having to live with the parental units as an adult at one point (not my choice, long story) and was aghast to find out they didn't lock their doors. They thought a magical sky tyrant was gonna keep them safe, or some crap. This was in a suburban neighborhood north of DC. I drilled it into them to lock the damned doors and keep them locked, in the daytime too because that don't make no difference. Some months later, the neighborhood was hit by grab-and-dash purse snatchers, the kind who just open front/back doors and grab promising purses and bags nearby.

The image of the feet outside the bathroom door creeped me out. I literally yelled like I was watching a scary movie. 😅
Everyone needs to do a security sweep of their house or apartment. My family always made fun of me for checking the house but during the 3 years living with my wife, just the two of us, I have always checked closets under beds everywhere because i have to expect that there is a possibility of someone smarter than me, stealthier than me who could be in my house uninvited

I learned to do that as a child. My dad would always make my mom and us kids wait outside while he went in and swept the house, and when I grew up, my friend would wait until I swept my house and came out to wave at her before driving off. Now, I live in Japan, which is super safe, but I still sweep my house. I don’t take anything for granted.

For some reason, when Mr. Nightmare was saying "my mom got 2 of the 5 ___" my brain wasn't willing to wait it was like "children? What type of lawyer did she have?!" But it was houses 😂😂. On a more serious note, great content. I'm glad I stumbled across this page a few days ago. I've been binge watching ever sense.
"I'm a big scaredy cat" proceeds to sleep with window open 🥴😑
Story 1: Some places closed for good reasons… reasons that sometimes shouldn’t be known. Story 2: You can’t trust everyone not even your neighbors. Story 3: Sounds like he’s a big fan of your clothing.
I'm already happy to see "scarey stories" by Mr. Nightmare. You never disappoint. Great content as always. Again TY I really needed this to take my mind off personal situations. Great job telling these stories.😍😉👍🏻 God bless 👑🙏🏻🕊💝💝

i like listening to scary stories, but if anything the slightest bit scary happens to me in real life, I am such a scaredy-cat 🙈
I remember watching some of your old videos with my cousin a few years back. Glad to know your still the same as back then.
I sleep so good after watching these. Also the boots under the stall cut gave me a jumpscare.
There is something so, so satisfying when I see a new Mr. Nightmare video while I’m on my break. Keep up the great work Mr. Nightmare!
I never knew Celebration City existed. If I go to that part of Branson, Missouri on a return trip, I'm taking pictures. The things one finds out watching great content like this.
Who on earth leaves outside doors unlocked?
"Not to toot my own horn but I'm really hot so they probably wanted to assault me" is a REALLY WEIRD flex
Love to watch upon the finest horrifying and thrilling stories of Mr Nightmare, as there is always something to be looking forward towards throughout the weekends

honestly, one of the thing I learned from stories like this is when exploring an abandoned area, expect to encounter a living human there bcs there's a big possibility that an abandoned area is now occupied by homeless people

I'd never be grateful enough to my dad for passing me his door locking obsession, i still live with my mom but im home alone sometime because shes drinking with friends or coworkers. Half of my neighbours are pretty weird and i wont be surprised if one of them ever tried to break in the appartement when i was asleep.
2 days in a roll! Just made my weekend even better!! Thanks Nightmare!!
With regards to the first story, I have the feeling that somewhere there are three people with a story about how they hid in the bathroom when they heard a voice.
a mr. nightmare upload always makes me so excited! such incredible storytelling
Your voice is amazing, great for horror stories! You deliver the story at a perfect pace too 😊
Locking your doors is literally the bare minimum to protect yourself and people still refuse to do it. Im a pretty paranoid person (mostly because of my upbringing) so I always lock my doors. Even then, sometimes it isn't enough. Once, my back door was kicked in, and 3 armed men rushed into my house within a 10 second window. Eveything locked. No one had any time to react. No time to grab any weapons. They could've killed everyone in the house if they wanted. Luckily for us, that's not what they were there for. And it's not like that experience taught me anything. I already knew better. It just goes to show that if someone REALLY wanted to get into your house, they 100% could. Regardless of locks or cameras. The only question is whether or not you're prepared for that type of situation. Most people aren't. That's what makes them an easy target.

waiting a couple weeks or so for a video from mr nightmare is always worth it, never disappoints
Videos like this truly terrify me just the stories and imaging how they would look from the pov of the person writing them is incredible
I’ll never grow tired of these, mr. Nightmare’s voice is like a universal multi monotone narration that makes it worth peering into the Psyche to listen.
3 years ago I thought my then girlfriend was insane for listening to this type of content while getting ready for work. 3 years later? I'm subscribed and fall asleep to each and every one of his videos.

I love when you post, best horror stories on KZread!
bless this channel for the content it uploads.
Mr nightmare never disappoints. He is such a good story teller and I've been watching his videos since day 1. He really makes me happy by posting and just hearing the stories is so good. I sometimes watch his old videos because it gives me so much nostalgia and the good memories when I would watch it with my freinds:) Thank You Mr Nightmare❤
I love falling asleep to these stories! Thank you for posting
The only things in these videos that scare me are the jump scare sounds like when the picture with the feet appeared 😅
I've said this before and imma say it again. Just because I live in a good neighborhood and crime rarely ever happens here, I still lock my doors at night. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Broh these give me chills good job!
I just started this video to go to sleep to the soothing sound of Mr. Nightmare narrating scary stories and now I'm wide awake at the mention of the first story as I grew up near Branson and went to celebration city several times before it shut down. 😹😹

Mr Nightmare, just wanted to say I loved your videos for a longggg time (like years) and I love your narration! It’s soothing and keeps me intrigued!💯

Did the guy in the first story not consider that maybe those people were hiding from HIM? Like, maybe they were afraid of getting caught and charged for trespassing
Another absolute banger. I sincerely hope with all my heart that he never stops making these.
Story one was most likely just some homeless people living in the abandoned buildings. It's very common anytime you have abandoned buildings. It's an easy roof over your head when you're homeless
