I set off on a trip to do some camping and #stormchasing with a professional storm chaser and freelance weather reporter and the journey had a bit more storm and a bit less camping than I planned. We saw a small #tornado rated EF0, lots of wind damage, and some beautiful supercells! I learned a lot about tornadoes and extreme weather. Lucky for me I wasn't camping when the hail came down!

Sadly, you'd be surprised at how many folks just pop in 'cause they saw an interesting thumbnail/title, then popped out. And since Steve often remarks on the need to do stealth camping, he probably has metrics that shows he makes more revenue off those videos than anything else. So that crowd probably doesn't have an interest in the storm chasing. Us fans of Steve of course are here for anything, but I don't think we are the majority.

Refreshingly different video. This isn't a camping channel; this is Steve Wallis. We watch the life of Steve, not just stealth camping! I watch to see what you (& sometimes Crazy Neighbor) are up to. The videos I most enjoy are the building ones, a raft, a train track, a tree house, a school bus camper, etc. Then comes the travel; trains, hotels, car trips, etc. Some of these are genius ideas. We love you, not your campsites. Keeping you in my prayers as you work through your grief. You are not alone. Thousands of people watch your videos and keep you in their prayers, too. I hope you can feel the love pouring out through the comments.

This channel is more of a Steve's Vlogging Channel instead of solely being set on camping and it shows in the different videos you do and the great responses they garnish. I'm right there with you. Steve. I know your wife passed away before my husband but since September 3rd 2022 and on our anniversary it has been really difficult for me as well. But I take each day one at a time. My girlfriend Susan. God bless her heart has been keeping company with me on camping out on my back side of my property which overlooks a 15 ft bank down to the water below. For the last couple of weekends, we've been camping out in our hammocks and having the time of our life. If it weren't for her I don't know what I would have done. And thank goodness you have Crazy Neighbor to help you get through your grieving. It's not easy but in time our hearts will heal, and with each passing day, living life gets a little easier. Thank you for providing us with the entertainment that you're so good at. And of course I'm one of your loyal fans and always look forward to your next video.

@@dianajones7999 It is a sad thing when we lose our other half and we're empty for quite some time but when we keep ourselves busy not only with our hands but with our mind the days get easier and so it is with you and Steve it will get easier as it has with me. I sometimes find myself remembering the things we did, and the tears start falling down my cheeks. It's difficult, but it's bearable...and the good Lord always sends a comforter.

Steve. It was a tornado. I spent 20 years as a National Weather Service spotter. I have seen the phenomena you saw many times. An EF-0 is not very photogenic, but it does damage. As a spotter, our training was to "observe and report." I've witnessed up to an EF-4. That was as a child in the 1974 super outbreak as it tore through my hometown. It started me on my path. In Kentucky, the hilly terrain and curves really prevents chasing because of hazards unrelated to the storm. In the plains of Canada and the US, this is possible. I just hope the chasers you were with are connected to the Environmental Canada as doppler radars cannot see what it on the ground. You have to have boots there communicating back to the authorities. Many of the chasers in the US are ham radio operators who communicate with authorities. Glad you had fun, and STAY SAFE!

I love Steve's sense of adventure and quiet, self-deprecating humour. Storm-chasing looks like a lot of effort with no guarantee of a happy ending, but the adrenalin high along the way makes it all worthwhile. He's out there, in the world, having the experience. If that isn't the meaning to life, I don't know what is.

Yea, Steve made camping look like so much fun, now he can't find a spot to camp. It's because so many people are camping now. It's his own fault. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's good to see Steve adapt and overcome with new/different adventures. He should continue to stealth camp when he can find a place. But I'm sure there aren't too many stealth camping situations left that Steve hasn't done already. It's a good time for the channel to transition, yet still appeal to the subscribers.

Wow! I've seen tornados in the Northern Sacramento Valley of California, believe it or not. Right where it starts to bottleneck around Glenn and Tehama counties. The way broad daylight turns almost nighttime dark to where I needed headlights to see. The most mind blowing weather was around the Texas/ New Mexico border area. Lightning that went all the way around the horizon and lighting up these two ginormous thunderheads heading straight for each other. It was incredible. My boyfriend was far more practical and realized we shouldn't be there when the two met. August weather in that area can be treacherous and intense. All of my hair was standing up and I could taste ozone. And the sound! Unreal!
