I like your boat. I’ve got a 27 foot 300 hp inboard outboard. We’ve got a V birth, and small aft cabin. Head, shower, sink. Also a small galley and TV. it’s a pretty heavy regal. It’s a lot slower than your boat which I think I prefer. Enjoy your videos. When I’m on a plane, I burn about 18 to 20 gallons an hour which ain’t no fun.😂

Trip just seems like such an awesome dude. I share nothing with this guy culturally, but I would feel comfortable traveling anywhere with him and have a good time. Love your videos. You inspired me to do more kayaking. Keep up the great work!

Hey Trip. I'm just about to get my own cabin boat on the water shortly for some camping and adventure action and it's all thanks to the inspiration from these boat videos. This type of thing is very appealing to me and I can't wait.

I was thinking exactly what you were saying about inspiring the lifestyle and being that voice for those of us with a kinship with the sea. I don’t usually get wet eyed over musicians passing, but with JB it’s a totally different experience and recall so many incredibly peaceful events courtesy of him. The way he made us all feel about PARADISE and living in the moment. Great looking pilot house dude👍🏻

Rapeseed oil is also called Canola Oil for obvious reasons! They grow lots of it in Canada huge fields of bright yellow blossoms. Now you know. Nice work on your rendition of one of my favorite Buffet songs.

The music adds such a vibe and great way to pay homage to Jimmy Buffet and the respect gain from the community. You gotta pay bills though too. I enjoy the tunes, maybe short videos advertising a new video release with tunes and a main video monetized without. Either way top quality content.

Great video! Have you considered an ACR for your batteries? An Automatic Charging Relay isolates your house loads from the starter battery. But it connects when the engine is running for charging. That way you never have to remember to switch the batteries. Blue Sea systems makes a good one with a self explanatory wiring diagram on the package. The 65A version is BlueSea part number 7649. ✌🏼

Next time you are down this way, check out FUBAR Pizza on the west side of the Brooks Bridge. Really cool place to boat up to and grab some good bad-for-you food. I know you don't eat that much but they have a pretty good menu. We love sliding the boat into the slip and walking off the boat and going indoors to grab some food and good company. We moved over here in the end of 2014 and started going to those islands where you camped out that first night. If you bring your paddle board you can slide back into Pirates Cove there too. We would always go for a boat ride, maybe do a little fishing, then slide up to the island just to the west of the one you camped at and our friends would always join us and they began calling Palmer Island. LOL. Not an official name obviously but we like it. I love the name you gave the little cut between the islands. I might just put up a sign there so look for it next time you go by. Also, if you go farther west, now just west of Navarre and Juana's, there is a Mermaids Mailbox. It's an old mailbox that somehow ended up in the sound and used to be between Hurlburt and Navarre but was recently moved onto the National Seashore area between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach. If I get out that way, I will drop the coordinates. Oh, and A Pirate Looks at 40 is my favorite Jimmy Buffet song. Always has and always will. --Brent

Have you read A Pirate Looks at 50 or Tales From Margheritaville? Both great reads. I grew up in P.C. and sailed those bays for 50 years. Anything between Pensacola and Cedar Key was home. Good thing about a skiff is you don't have to worry about the hills. Keep up the good work on all fronts👍

The boat is awesome. Would be even awesomer(haha) with a flybridge, I think its called, so you could drive the boat from up top. Something where maybe the seat was removable and the console was made from stainless steel tubing so you could fold it down and pin in place for clearance issues and travel. Not sure what it would involved with adding a second steering cable and control cables and wiring harness but I know they do it

You should tie or clip a second smaller rope to the end of the anchor chain in front. You can pull the boat to the anchor without climbing to the forward deck

Rape seed oil is Canola oil. During WW2 it was used as a lubricant, after the war it was processed differently for human consumption. Great song and well done. RIP Jimmy

Yep that was mine, I just travel too much and not around enough to use it and didn't just want it to sit. We did get one last trip to Port St. Joe for scalloping. But C-dory does hold its value and I basically had it sold in like 30 minutes. @@TripSmith

I'm not 100% carnivore these days..... Probably 90%-95% carnivore. Simply for enjoyment of other foods. If I was looking for optimum health/diet, I would be 100% carnivore.

She isn't as adventurous as I am.... and if conditions get sour, I'd have to get her home instead of making a great video out of it. There are other reasons, but we do stuff outside of the camera ;)
