As many others have said before, this game is pure nostalgia. I played this over and over as a kid.. The Dinosaur level always comes to mind when I think back to this game

I remember as a kid getting this game for my family's Windows 98.. I have 2 brothers and every Saturday we would sit down after dinner and play a game of some sort..on my turns to pick always went with 3d ultra MG.. my family was so competitive and always had a blast....wouldn't trade those times for a million dollars...thanks for bringing back great memories....

lol its hard to believe the haunted house hole actually used to creep me out as a kid.

It seems so simple and primitive by today's standards, despite the undeniable creativity put into it....but man, back in the day, this was MINDBLOWING stuff. The idea of putting a ball and watching it get launched over a crocodile by a jack-in-the-box was so fascinating, unlike anything you could ever do in real life - and yet, it was so familiar, it was like the 90s equivalent of a VR experience. Also I want to say after getting the ball over the croc, if you shot the ball at his head just right, he would snap his jaw open and fling it backwards toward the hole. I remember hitting it in the water a bunch trying to get it to happen.

My mind is blown, I don't remember there being this many holes. I played this when I was real little & I can remember there being 3 holes but the only 2 I have a strong memory of are the mining & garage holes. I remembered the garage one being like a secret lab with a crocodile & a toaster & I kept trying my best to find the name of this game by putting in info on that hole but came up short. It was the final hole in the one I played with the mining hole being first or second. I had no idea there were more holes, I remember wanting more as a kid because I kept replaying this thinking something different would happen. It's just nice knowing this game actually existed & I wasn't remembering something that wasn't real since I couldn't find anyone who knew what this is. It was so weird seeing this, I decided to attempt looking it up again because the music for the mining hole started playing in my head & I got so frustrated that I couldn't find anything on this game. So happy I finally found it.

I had the same holes, and the first one was the windmill, that's because we had the demo version on a magazine-like cd rom, not the whole game

Yeah, that was the demo. I couldn't remember which holes it was but I remember the "Ya, you have to hit the ball through the wind-MILL" line, it only made sense for that to be one of them. But then I also remember the mine (the sinking stones were annoying) and the Incredible Machine/garage was so cool, because I loved that game, and I didn't think it was 16 holes deep. But I eventually got the full game and played all the holes, it's weird how much more I remember some of them more than others though, some I barely even recognize....

did you ever aim for the left of the haunted house, hit that bright tombstone and the ball banks into the house and the ghost drops it right in the hole.

Our windows 98 still works so we can still play the Ultra mini-golf from the 90s and other awesome games.

So many memories of my 7-year-old self getting insanely pissed off at some of these holes lol! Good game though and amazing soundtrack.

I LOVED this game when I was a kid! I remember when I would play this game on the Little Tikes young explorer PC at a daycare center. Watching this now makes me get very nostalgic.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who, as a child, found "crater demolition" and "moon base" to be one of the creepiest levels. Ironically, the "haunted house" didn't creep me out so much as a kid in the years 1998-1999 as the "crater demolition" and "moon base" levels did for some stupid reason. Part of it is the stereotypical eerie alien sound effects in the background combined with the fact, that at the crater demolition level, I did not comprehend why the bulldozer moved back and forth, and why the area for crater demolition (in my kids eyes back then) was so flippin' HUGE and why there was this eerie space music in the background. There was just this eerie feeling to both "moon base" level and "crater demolition" to it from a kid's point of view that is hard to explain...

You didn't go for the bee in the bugs hole! D: For real though this brought back memories haha

I remember having a demo of this on the CD mixte (also had 3 audio songs) that came with a games magazine in 1997

That's why I remember some of these holes more than the others! I think the demo only had the first 8 holes, ending with the Lost Mine (or perhaps jumping to the Incredible Machine hole, I remembered that one a lot too, but possibly for different reasons). It was all so familiar until the Haunted House hole, which was so jarring to see, and took me a second to remember if Id even played it or not). I think I remember seeing pictures of the Volcano, Temple, and Space Port levels from the full version, and thinking they looked so cool....eventually we got the full game because I definitely remember playing them, but by then I didn't play the full version anywhere near as much as I had obsessed over the demo when it was all we had.

my dad and I would sit at the computer, put in the cd rom, and play this for hours. this is so nostalgic for me and him. he always chose red. we loved when it would say “GET ON WITH IT RED” when you were taking too long! I want to own it physically just for the memories with him 🥹

He somehow missed the parrot next to the water in the Jungle Ruins. Flies up to the hole every time. Also, in the Bugs hole, the ball will go in the hole if aimed at the anthill.

The voices are the best part. Especially the abominable snowman hole.

Wow, great score. I remember playing this game at Innoventions at Disneyland in the summer of 98.

This was a great game. Loads of fun. Wish I could play it today!

Fun fact: This game actually had a sort of sequel. And no, it's not the Adventure series that came out 10 years later. I'm talking about Minigolf Maniacs, which was a lesser known digital download that used to be available on Sierra's website. It looked similar to the Adventure games, but with cartoon animal characters instead of people.

the other thing i always found strange about this game was the game CD had a final audio track for the incredible machine hole, but the game would only play the MIDI file for that hole.

I found that strange watching this. I noticed TIM had a MIDI track as opposed to the others. Pretty sure my copy played CD audio for all. Maybe it was a bug which was fixed for the european release. I still have my copy. Might have to get it running on a Win98 PC or VM some day to check that out🧐

Same, I don't even remember where I got the demo as a kid, but it included holes 1 (windmill), 9 (lost mine), and 18 (incredible machine). Now I finally get to see the full game!

No one of these new smart phone games you download on the play store can be fun as this one :)

I don't remember the holes themselves having music. Maybe I shut it off immediately because it's so overpowering? But I had the menu music..

i only had the demo, i remember the light house and a drive in movie theatre, always used to shoot the ball at the cars to get different reactions. I know the pelican at the light house will drop the ball down one level for you, not sure if it will be a hole in 1 though.
