The interception at the end is one of the most gut punching feelings I've ever had as a sports fan and as an Ohio state fan. That play was brutal. Hell of a game though. I just want to beat Clemson once in my lifetime.

Championship teams over come adversity. That's what makes the them champions. Clemson over came adversity being down with 3 minutes left in the game. Scored a TD. Then their defense pressured the Ohio State offense into a interception,

Bud Tommy Clemson wouldn’t have been able to overcome that if the refs hadn’t decided to change the call. Clemson also wouldn’t have been able to overcome a holding/facemask call on Chase Young, but they didn’t have to worry about it and instead got a penalty on Ohio State for a rather questionable call and ejection, where Chase Young was getting bear hugged that whole play but they didn’t want to throw the flag. This Clemson team wasn’t a true championship team like OSU was, but they got into the title game with their hand being held by officials.

@@thecoasterfollower3564 OSU could not score when it counted at the end of the game. They threw an interception. Championship teams don't do things like that. OSU can still overcome this by beating Clemson the next 5 times they play them. Even if they do that 31-0 beating Clemson gave them will stick out like a sore thumb. Ohio State is 0-4 vs Clemson and 0-2 against the SEC's South Carolina. Which makes Ohio State 0-6 against the state of South Carolina. 0-2 against LSU in national championship games.

They need to change the targeting rule. If a guy goes for the chest and the offensive player lowers his head he shouldn’t be ejected

except for the horrible officiating. from someone who is not a real fan of either team, in fact if i had to choose i would probably pick clemson over ohio state, but i will say that ohio state got screwed by the refs in this game. someone said that all of the refs were from the sec. how is that fair? they are from the south, clemson is not in the sec but they are in the south. these refs were definitely biased towards clemson in this game.

12:26 reminded me of The Catch! Amazing play.

Even after all the bad calls, OSU still had their chance to win, but the receiver aborted the route that lead to the interception. That was the dagger. I agree there were crucial calls that were poorly called that went against OSU (targeting, fumble both were terrible calls), but at the end of the day they still had their chance at the end. Sucks to see it end that way. Good game though.

I'm a old Clemson grad. I know this was two seasons ago, but IMO Ohio St. would have matched up better against LSU than my Tigers did. Ohio St. FINALLY beat us last season, then was destroyed by Bama. Congrats on the victory over Clemson, and Bama would have beat Clemson worse than they did the Buckeyes.

2019 was ELITE for QB!!

Well being a buckeye fan, we should have easily won this game. Instead of kicking field goals, should have scored touchdowns. Cant really blame the officials except the fumble returned for a touchdown that was called back. Clemson came back like i thought they would. Great game though by the buckeyes. We will see what happens this upcoming season. Hopefully we make the playoffs and play Clemson again.

Yes that was a key moment in the game also the roughing penalty that should have been a running into the kicker. We should have scored at the end of the game as well. Dobbins not controlling the catch. A lot of things eent wrong in that game. Hopefully next year we play them again in the playoffs.

As an Ohio State fan, the Fumble shouldnt have been called an incomplete pass but we blew a 16-0 lead. Instead of scoring touchdowns we kicked field goals and we could not perform in the 4th. We were screwed but that's not the reason we lost. We just blew it.

I'm an LSU fan and rewatching this game that was a terrible targeting call against Ohio st. Ohio st. Also that was a fumble. He caught the ball made a football play then fumbled. Ohio st. Had this one in the bag and let it slip away. I wanted to see LSU skull drag Joe's old team but we got clemson instead.

The J.K Dobbins runs at 2:08 and 2:33 made me think Ohio State was going to blow Clemson out

I'm not a fan of either team but I really do feel like Ohio State would have done better against LSU but still would have lost if they went to the national championship.

Hi everyone. I'm not from America but was wondering regarding the player helmets and have questions. It looks like some of the helmets have stickers or something and then some have more than others. @The Avrowolf thanks for the explanation and your time. Also saw not all schools have the stickers, guess it's the same like the NFL teams feels about the captain's badge. Only some still do it. (google had that answer at least hehe)

I’m a Clemson fan and a year later Ohio state beat us badly do y’all got your revenge but Clemson should have defiantly not won the game. The refs didn’t give Ohio state the fumble which was clearly a touchdown. It wasn’t a good win it was cheap. no team wanted to face LSU that season anyways.

LSU had a tough schedule they played Alabama Auburn Georgia Florida Oklahoma Clemson And they beat them all so none of these teams had a chance of winning

I honestly hate to keep talking about it..... but Ohio State to me was obviously the better the team. Almost much better. Clemsons experience and discipline really helped them win this game.

I have a question i noticed on this game. I see 2 #1 on osu players. One is fields and a defensive player. There can be 2 players wearing the same number?

Not even an Ohio st fan but this coulda easily been 21-0 after the first quarter. They looked like the much better team

Bad calls or not. The refs didn't blow this game for OSU. They were up 16-0, and should have been more. They had Clemson down and couldn't finish them off. Clemson is obviously a fantastic team, but OSU had their chances and blew it.

How do you know what Ohio State couldn't have done? They got a sack and got the ball back. And then some dude in Birmingham said that sack was targeting. Which led to another ticky-tak call and the momentum went the other way. And then, Ohio State managed to create a TO and scored. Probably got the momentum back on their side. And 2 seconds later. That same dude in Birmingham changed it back in Clemson's favor. I wish people played sports and stop pretending as if emotions and mental changes aren't a part of sports.

@@A_Easley So, in other words: Ohio State had to play perfect AND play through horrible calls. Since they didn't. That's all on them. Lol Go and watch the Alabama vs Ohio State game. No difference, except there were no refs involved. Heck, against Oregon. Ohio State had 4 TOs and STILL won by 22. Difference between those games and Clemson? Huh. Imagine that. Clemson scored 22 points from aided calls to extend their drives. All I will say. Enjoy your day!

@@tankster937 Championship teams over come adversity. 3 minutes left in the game and Clemson goes 94 yards and scores and takes the lead.. Ohio State has a chance to score and throws an interception. Championship teams do not throw interceptions when the game is on the line.

Three RZ failures and 2 turnovers by the Buckeyes proved to be the difference in the game.

I'm a Michigan man and you could tell that the refs decided to screw Ohio State over... So many bull crap calls

9:17 If you look closely, you can see the Clemson player “altered” his possession 3 times during his 3 steps. 1st one is right as he is catching it. Subtle but it’s there. The 2nd one is the hardest to see but it’s while his left hand is behind the ball and he is bringing the ball near his waste and just after the defender begins to pull down on his bicep. It slides just a little bit off the ball then back on. The 3rd is obviously when the ball is knocked out. All in all he did not have total uninterrupted possession for more than 1 step and never made a “football” move. I originally disagreed with the call but if you examine closely and go by the rules you will see it was the correct call. But easily can be argued either way.

but they usually call it incomplete if the ball is moving , as it would’ve been called incomplete , but justyn ross clearly had possession of the ball , it shouldn’t matter if he was able to do a football move if he clearly has possession which he does
