That last bottle is like an infinity blend gone terribly wrong, and when we on FB realized everyone had won the apple brandy "lottery", it was such a deflating moment.

I’ve had the Valencia, and I agree. It tasted like the wrong side of an orange peel. 🤢

Agree that I don’t really care for Watershed’s bourbon finished in apple brandy from two years ago. Last year’s release is significantly better.

This is why high price doesn't always mean good juice 🤔 Cheers 👍😉🥃

That's true it's always best to try and get a sample or have a pour at a bar for higher priced bottles before you buy.

Also agree on Kentucky Owl. Made the same mistake.

I know, but then he also purchased a back up bottle for $130. Hopefully a lessoned learned, but I doubt it.

Work on a better placement of the mic for Devon. He came in strong when reaching over for bottles. Todd was clear the whole time.

You got that last one from the distillery and you didn’t try before you bought it? Or did they give you a different one that was better. Blending is an art and apparently the individual there hasn’t figured that out yet. Enjoy!! Not these of course.

That bottle was not available to sample

The WR 122.1 is really good, just too expensive. I'd buy a back up but not for $150. I did not like Penelope Rio or Valencia. I made my own using Penelope with organic orange oil (just a minute amount), which is far better.

Which Penelope bottle did you use. I have the 122.1 and agree it's pretty good but overpriced.

@@Whiskey_Sippers I used the barrel proof penelope. Another great recipe is to mix the BP with the low proof white label penelope 50/50. The sum is greater than the parts. Learned this from a man I met in line at a drop. Just something he did one night. I've made it for friends and they love it. the low proof penelope is one of the few low proofers that taste like the bigger brother.

Better lighting and mics will make yall famous
