Hi Doc, Love youre show. I've recently turned 63. I am oftenn told that I look younger. Over the past 24 months, I had reduced the amount of Turbinado sugar to '0' and switched from 1/2 Cream milk to Coconut milk. Also for twelve weeks now, I eat within a 4 hr window everyday and I don't feel hungry and Ifeel much better. Thanks.

This makes me so happy! I tell people, I have coffee running through my veins, lol, because even as a toddler, in Italian culture, children have coffee with their breakfast & it was totally normal for us. So I absolutely love coffee to this day, I would be so upset to be told not to have it anymore, so this news has made my day! Thank you!

I saw another videos of yours where you say if you drink coffee within 2 hours of waking it increases cortisol. So if we drink coffee within 2 hours of waking does that make it harder to loose weight with extra cortisol??? I was hoping to get more guidance on that in this video. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I put a pinch of salt in each mug of coffee. It makes the coffee smoother tasting. I love having whole cream in coffee but when fasting we don't want dairy in it. Black coffee with a pinch of sea salt is perfect for fasting.

I had a GI bleed a few months ago, so my doctor told me to cut out coffee because it is too acidic. I think I told him "I'd rather die than give up my coffee" lol. But someone told me to put salt in the coffee bc it will lower the acidity.. But just curious, do you add the salt before brewing or just add it to your cup of coffee?

Decaf can be a negative thing if you don't get it 'decafed' correctly. I innerstand that the Swiss water process to remove caffeine is the best. But is it? A lot of coffee producers use chemicals to remove the caffeine. Would you be interested in doing a video on the best decaf coffee and why it's important to use one wisely?

I haven't come across specific studies on mushroom coffee yet, but it's an interesting topic. Mushroom coffee typically combines traditional coffee with extracts from medicinal mushrooms like lion's mane or chaga, which are believed to offer various health benefits, such as improved focus and immune support. If you're considering it, it could be worth trying for its potential wellness benefits, alongside keeping an eye out for emerging research.

What is the impact of roasting the coffee bean before brewing it, and are the benefits diminished? I obviously don't expect anyone to eat raw coffee beans lol I was just really curious about that. I mean it sounds like with the antioxidant and polyphenol support decreasing inflammation and balancing the microbiome would help but would love to know if you have any specific studies that look more directly at depression?

I only drink decaf coffee, lots of it 😂. I am super sensitive to caffeine. My experience has been nothing but positive drinking decaf while fasting. I put a small amount of Redmond’s Salt and MCT Oil or Ghee. I like Ghee as it froths nicely. ***I would love more conversation about decaf and its effects on cortisol and comparison of caffeinated coffee on health benefits.

But related to this, just how much fat should we be consuming? I’ve had trouble losing weight - and it was suggested to me I wasn’t eating enough calories/food - I should be consuming around 130g of fat a day (I’m 141lb)..would you agree? I do struggle to consume that much! I do make sure to have enough protein though
