Im grown up in Scania... First was a 110.. then a 111. We had 140 and 142 all in my bones to the day i kick the bucket and park the slippers. Can still remember the sound of a 111 whit straight pipe

Hab' mir das Video schon x-mal angesehen bzw. angehört. Wieso gibt es eigentlich keine Sound-CD's, wie im Eisenbahnbereich ? Das hier ist absolut super, Turbo³ untermalt mit bollerndem V8. 👍👍👍👍👍

Scania v8s was and is one of the most reliable engines with an exeption of the scania 4 series wich most engines from 12 liter and up had leaky cylinder jackets wich caused the heads to warp

Flott å se eldre biler bli brukt. Er selv Volvo mann, men må innrømme at 140’en var imponerende både å se og høre på . Dette var en høydare ! PS: Det blir aldri feil med rød ramme !

The Original 14 litre V-8 . 287 hp . The SAME engine ended up pushing out 560 hp . Just short of Double . Now , the 16 litre engine bangs out 770 .

The original 140 had 350hp, the 141 375hp. Then the 142 without intercooler (141,5 😄), had the same output. With cooler the 142 had two versions: 420 and 430hp. 143 had 400, 420 (edc), 450, 470 (edc) and 500hp (edc). 144 had 460 and 530hp. That was the last 14,2 litre, and along with the edc-versions of the 142 they started to get more torque lower down in the rpms. The 15,8 had 500, 560 and 620hp. Here I fall off a bit, because I think the 15,8 litre also had a 580hp-version? Or maybe not. Torque clearly low down in the rpms. R- and S-series and got 16,4 litres, and here it is a looong range of outputs. From 500, 520, 580, 650, 660, 730, and now the 770, plus the versions I have missed. 😄
