I know 🥰!!! I always thought he was a lot more fluent in English by the way he responds when English is spoken around him, especially when it’s Namjoon that’s speaking. I already love his voice in any language but he speaks as if he’s been speaking English for a while now. My question is, “Hobi, why hide your skills🥹?

When i was baby army i had very much interest on bts introducing themselves in english just because of 2seok , they are so confident and funny .

Hi there, soulmate! How are you doing? I wasn't replying to your last comment..i was very occupied last week, totally and utterly stressed!😩😩 U still remember about the 'baking day'?? It will be brought forward to 15th of March...I guess I'll be the happiest person to hear this, till my boss change her mind😠😠 We are suppose to have a 1 week break (term 1 school break) next week...which means we still have to come to work but no lesson will be conducted, we only taking care of the daycare children...but my boss, out of sudden; has invited all the children to come back to school and join the so called 'holiday program'😱😱 I was like 'WHAAATTTT!!!! Of course I love those kids very much, but like the lyrics of Peter Cetera's song ''even lovers need a holiday, far away from each other..'' And so do us! Me and the kids!😫😫😫😫😫 We where just finished planning for the 'baking day' and now we have to plan for the holiday program😵😵 I guess I should get ready to bid 'goodbye' to my holiday...😭😭

They’re all becoming more confident in English but Hobi seems to be the most comfortable speaking it. Jin tries really hard too. They can’t rely on Namjoon now they are solo artists.

I am so proud of Jin and J Hope. They are hilarious but extremely cute. The way to learn another language is right or wrong but practice with confidence. The 2 clowns who can be knocked down with the feather in “unexpected and expected”circumstances.😂😂😂. They both always light up the room wherever they go. Thank you Colt for another lovely post.

Fun fact, I thought I'd have trouble liking Jin when I was baby ARMY because he seemed too goofy but turns out my bias is just as goofy. And Jin turned out to be my vocal bias. I was too depressed then to appreciate Jin then. I miss 2seok so much. 💜

Jin has grown on me so much. At first I was having trouble relating to him as I didn’t realize that when he calls himself World Wide Handsome that it is his stage persona. I finally got it from watching different programs and clips with him. He is a very sweet young man and I really love his voice. I’m glad I spent the time getting to see the sweet, kind and caring man he seems to be.

@@pamelaJoyce384 yes! The fact that he's always trying to make light of things seemed unserious to me but the reason he does it is so sincere that now it's one of my favourite things about him. He is actually so wise and a secret genius! He's one of the main influences for a lot of things that make BTS so charming. He balances the raplines' intensity when it comes to work and everyone's passion when it comes to music, with goofiness that the boys are just healthier mentally and emotionally. And better for ARMY who watch them. I'm so grateful to him now. 💜

Thanks for posting this, Colt. Jin and Jhope are so cute; they know more English words than they've earlier let on before. Look how proud RM is of them @ 7:36. Jin and Jhope also speak a few Chinese words encouraging V to speak Chinese (Mandarin which is the main language in China). Jin speaking in Mandarin to V - Are you fine? V answering in Chinese (Mandarin) says fluently "Right now, I'm good." V speaks it with the right pronounciation - I'm impressed ! Then Jhope says to Jin "how about you?" to which Jin answers "Very well" (Hen Hao).

AHHH hearing 2seok speaking English has made my day 😍 thank you Colt! Their English, very level up 👍👍 Seriously though, they've improved massively over the years, they're pros! I love seeing Namjoon smiling with pride while they're speaking

@@Passion4PaperCrafts Maybe because their Korean is so unfamiliar to us that it sounds kind of mumbled to us, so when speak English, they subconsciously go up an octave to be clearer in their pronunciation in English. Does that make sense?

Also, I used to think in listening to them speak in Korean that I could never learn Korean cause I couldn’t distinguish English sounds that we’re used to. There is no “Z” in the Korean language, which explains why Hobi says “safe join” instead of “safe zone”. There’s a couple of other English letters that don’t exist in Hangul. Since their alphabet is different from ours, we would struggle, as they do for English. Have you noticed how they struggle to finish a word like “girl” and say “gir”? There’s other words they do that to, which I can’t remember at this moment.

One good thing 2024 had store for us is, 2seok will be back very, very soon.

I love hobi so much his dancing style,his English word very fluent and clear,I like him when he speak in English.

Funny hahaha @ :47 when Jhope and Jin says to RM to speak only in English, and RM just goes off saying blah blah blah... Jhope and Jin clearly didn't understand and got lost ... So funny, thanks! This is one of my favorite BTS non-performance videos.

As to compare their English fluency to 10 years ago, they are actually showing tremendous improvement! Way to go, boys!👏👏👏 But of course, they still speak English with the Korean accent, not like Namjoon who is able to speak fluently with American accent...i guess that's what makes them feel 'inferior' once Namjoon 'opens' his mouth; it is clearly seen at 1:07😅😅 Don't know whether they can speak Chinese or not, but most of them can speak Japanese fluently, that is something to be proud of, right??👍👍👍 As for me, i find that BTS speaking English is always the cutest!😉😊😆 Keep going, boys! I miss the Moon and Sunshine so much😢

I'm always so proud of them about everything... but especially when they do their best to improve in the various languages of people wherever they are. My dad was in the US military 21 years so we moved a lot and I picked up some of various languages. There's 6 that I speak at least a little bit. Korean has actually been the hardest. I spoke Japanese and Tagalog as a child but lost all but a little after leaving those countries because I didn't have anyone to speak them with. It's funny that I speak German the best out of all of them when I've never been there but it's what I studied in high school and college. It's also not that different from English. Korean I picked up the basics while being a student of Kuk Sool Won for 20+ years... but that is all mainly counting, honorifics, terms for techniques, etc. I'm working on improving though because I'd like to visit South Korea in the next couple of years. The written form of hangul is my downfall. I maybe can recognize 4 vowels. I know I need to do better with the written form in order to even do sight seeing. I think BTS should do a BTS guide to Seoul. I'd love to visit some of their favorite places.

When I started learning Korean, my goal was to get as good at it as Hobi is at English. I was basing that on Bon Voyage 4, but he just kept getting better and better, while my progress was slow. I *might* be somewhere close to his level in Malta now . . . I'm not sure. My new delusional goal is to be good enough at Korean that if I met a member of BTS we could speak comfortably without any English but "ok." 🤣🤣
