This album holds a very special place in my heart. The intro alone hints how hard the rest the album is fixing to be. From if I die tonight, to Temptation, to Death Around The corner you can't go wrong with this one. My personal favorite album of his

Pac actually had an album prepared that was packaged called ThugStyle that he let biggie hear . But when he heard ready to die: he said hmm this sound a lot like thugstyle. So he switched the production. The production on the thugstyle album was more east coast beats. So since he scrapped that album, this album was put together while he was locked up.

Let me tell you something people who don’t catch the double entendres of Tupac on that last verse . Take a look picture a Crook on his last stand /M. F don’t understand/ if I die tonight. Parish Crooks is Tupac birth name before Afeni changed it . This dude was no doubt a lyricist people don’t give him that because he dumb down to not sound so much like East Coast rappers because he lived on the West Coast but the production of this album undeniably sounds like East Coast to pay homage to his birth place New York ..Rip PAC!!

The Me against the world album that was released was a different album than the original me against the world. Biggie had the 1st version and bit his style to make Ready to Die. So Pac redid the whole album with new beats, songs were changed, cause Pacs whole album was about dealing with death. Then Biggie started rapping about death. That's why the commercial release had less east coast beats on it. Biggie stole Pacs style, all 3 of his names. Biggie Smalls was a white rapper from the West Coast. Then Notorious B1 from Mississippi released a song called big daddy, the was the Juicy beat, Biggie stole that beat then started going by Notorious Big, and calling himself Big Pappa. He stole everything. You could never compare Biggie to Pac. Pac was a Rapper, Poet, Actor, Activist. He was a huge part of the Bloods and Crips peace treaty. Biggie just bit everyone's shit.

Your comment is trash and it's the reason I dislike Pac fans... As far a Me against the world and Pac saying Big copied his ideas, Tupac came to NY looking for a more East Coast sound right? Pac started messing w Easy Moe Bee, who was producing for BIGGIE FIRST... So how can you say Biggie was biting when Pac was clearly influenced by what Biggie was already sounding like? As far as the B1 dude... He ain't the first ninja to use the Juicy Fruit sample or the First fat dude to call himself Big whatever. I could talk about Tupac using Ray Luvs lyrics for the song Trapped and call Pac a biter too... Ppl definitely have accused Tupac of stealing ideas and lyrics and there's proof online of what they are saying. Everybody in the music industry is guilty of borrowing ideas. Nobody is quite like Biggie tho 🙏🏾 🕊️ 🎩

@@AirplayReactions I actually came here to hear a genuine MATW reaction cause I didn't hear the album when Pac was alive. I went back and listened to it and thought it was just alright. I don't see the heavy influence that Pac had on Biggie. I think it's overstated and exaggerated due to PACs public feud w Bad Boy. The R U Still Down album, sounds like a bunch of throwaways to me and Tupac trying to sound like some type of hustler similar to his portrayal of Birdie in Above the Rim and people he was around while in NY filming. So pardon me for being verbose on your page, I think Tupac was lying to his fans and running with a narrative not based on facts but a grudge.

Me against the world was already finished in 94 but biggie album sounded like his album and he was furious because Easy Moe Bee was playing M against the world for Biggie . Then Biggies entire album is about dying . I wonder where the fuck he get that from . New York can't stand to hear that but it's the truth.
