This is one of the few examples where the radio/clean version is actually better than the CD uncut version. That last verse is so beautiful. 😢

Father forgive us for livin' while all my homies stuck in prison Barely breathin' believin' that the world is a prism It's like a ghetto we can never leave A broken rose givin' bloom through the cracks of the concrete So many other things for us to see Things to be, our history so full of tragedy and misery To all my homies never made it home The dead peers I shed tattooed tears for, when I'm alone Picture us inside a ghetto heaven, a place to rest Findin' peace through this land of stress In my chest I feel pain come in sudden storms Life full of rain in this game watch for lead thorns Our unborn never got to grow, never got to see what's next In this world full of countless threats I beg God, to make a way for our ghetto kids to breathe Show us sign, make us all believe 'Cause I ain't mad at cha shhhh these are some of the realest lyrics ever written... 🙏❤️

Man...I'm an "old head" 59 years old, and I love this song. It can nearly bring you to tears because he told his story so well. He was much too talented to have his remains at some cemetery. Had he been allowed to put 25 more years of wisdom into his craft, there's no telling what he could have produced from his soul. He was extremely talented. This one, shed so many tears and dear momma cut like a knife. Rest brother...

"Yes 2pac was a very cold lyricist.. If you pay close attention to his style, his third verses always be the hardest ones of the sound, like the climax of a movie, the most colorful and passionate, this dude was a rappers rapper, he could spit spit. The third verses always be my favorite ones from Pac, though hit bit and chewed in ALL of them though. NO ONE out today pouring their heart outike he did, except for a few Gangsta rappers that's close,a few Conscious rappers that's ose and Christian rappers. Only few are as powerful as big Pac... My GOAT forever..Iove that boy. " Black Jesus 777

It's like two different songs, incredible. This one is more mellow, and the tone of the lyrics is more forgiving. The explicit version sound less mellow and lyrics are more bitter and angry. The fact that he could write two versions with different perspectives, showing both ends of the spectrum emotionally. Genius
