All this says is that MF’s can come from other places, make a bigger name and rep the west better than actual west coasters. Ice T the pioneer of the west coast is FROM NEW JERSEY. He moved out there when he was 14. When he got to LA he told people he was from Jersey. He wrote a memoir. He has vivid memories of being out there. If I’m from Seattle and I decide to move to Chicago at 18 cause I think that’s the spot to be, that still don’t make me a Chicago native. Even if I decided I’m staying for the next 30 years I’d still be from Seattle.

Tlc is from Texas? That’s a first for me, but I know for a fact Left Eye was from Philly because she used to live around the corner from my cousins when they lived in Logan.

It means something when you really from that city. Remember Eminem made a whole movie about how important it was that he was from a specific side of 8 Mile? That's 1 damn street! Dudes come from entire other states claiming they from the city would create problems back in the day. I moved when I was 10 and still claim the place I started at. Some of these dudes didn't keep it ALL THE WAY real (2 Pac, Kanye, Ludacris, Prodigy, Souljah Boy, Kurupt, Xzibit, etc) and instead of just telling the truth later play it off like it wasn't that important. If it wasn't why didn't they rap about they life in these other places? Cuz you know they was loud and proud about the places they "wanted" to be from!

He said “I got the game from Oakland.” Not Marin or Santa Rosa or anywhere else when he was out here. Most places will keep you game goofy so they can manipulate you. Having gotten Bay game in the pen and Town game in the Town, trust me, it’s a difference!
