I feel that after CL kpop was never the same, it's hard to say that someone has reached the same level as her, that someone has the same stage presence as this woman, the same power!! She is UNIQUE and UNPARALLELED, I would honestly say she is the most complete artist I have ever seen, she sings, dances, composes, produces, and on top of that, she has a surreal stage presence, she was simply born to be an artist. It's been almost ten years since this performance and I've never seen anyone dominate the stage as well as her, no one can surpass what CL and 2NE1 were for kpop, no one has ever been on the same level as this woman!!

Scooter Braun signed her in after seeing 2ne1's live performance during PSY's concert in Seoul stadium. She was OFFERED the contract because of her talent and that was during the era when kpop was still in the process of making a name for itself, while some artists got easily signed because of their popularity and company background. However, this recorded iconic performance was the one where that was noticed by Muslim fans. Regardless of the issue, she performed really well on this stage, and was responsible for calling out the producer to remake the song to remove that as background music. I hope you don't hate her for someone else's mistake even if she already did some corrective actions regarding it.

This is more of a power rap if anything~ and usually covering CL songs turns out to be a self sabotage; bc the kids rarely have the cadence, charisma and experience to pull her songs off~ esp the ones she did live and you have comparison… and it was the same for Ruka~ like A+ on song selection, but the execution was not there

Frankly speaking I imagine it’s cuz most female idols these days physically don’t have the energy for it. And even if they did, I don’t see the passion. Sadie Goober yeah. News broke out on twitter the other day. It was really frustrating knowing how much she loves performing but being cockblocked by both of her agencies.

There is no female in K-pop industry who can perform like CL. She is so legendary majestic queen.

It’s sad cause most of this generation don’t know or appreciate CL. She’s a GOAT

Im not even a big fan of k-pop (even though i do like it) but CL is quickly becoming my idol. I mean just that attitude and badassery..and shes a great performer and musician. Shes literally perfect.

YG compagny raises artists while other compagnies raises idols.. basically that's the difference, that's why YG artists are more dependant and passionate about their music and performances! Instead of promoting an image or a concept, they promote music and that's why I'm a YG stan!

They put a really high standard to a kpop girl group that nobody cant reach that level. They don't need to wear half naked clothes just to noticed them. Their presence and charisma is on another level. Missing the gold old days. No shade meant, but dont udare to compare them to other gg (the one who called next 2ne1) cause they'll never be on the same level with them when it comes to performances.

They were called "next 2ne1" by YG to get attention now move on and stop comparing omg. Ofc they will never be the same since their concept is different. Imagine 2NE1 singing boombayah or blackpink singing I am the best. This is ridiculous. 2NE1 has a super hard badass concept while bp has a simple girlcrush concept. Btw, NO ONE is doing like 2NE1 so why don't you compare them to the whole kpop industry lol

@@veronicahuang2500 it they would sing boombayah, it wouldn't be the same boombayah at all. I can't imagine 2ne1 rollerblading like blackpink with pink everywhere (just like I can't imagine blackpink singing I am the best with the clothes 2NE1 wear for example). Boombayah would be turned into a more badass song so it would fit 2NE1s concept. That's what I am trying to make people understand. 2ne1 and bp are different. If they were not, we could switch their songs without change. But, once again, it is not possible bc they are two different group, with different concepts, different members, different style, different voices, different gen. So, comparing the two groups is ridiculous. It's like comparing redvelet and EXO, it's stupid bc they are both completely different, you see what I mean?

@@moonllght3555 originally Blackpink songs were made for 2NE1 but they made alterations to match the low vocals of Blackpink.... Facts that cant change. and also when YG said that he want to debut a pretty version of 2NE1, then he is the one who first compare them.

Yeah, I never understood the phrase "wanna be black" there's no such thing, it does not make any sense. for example, when you listen to UB40 and the guy that "sounds black" is actually white, people are suprised by the fact that he's white. You don't sound black or white or whatever, theres no such thing about sounding a colour.

OK she is doing a music style created by blacks , so she is acting like a korean sista because anything done by black are cool as all get out... if not then why isn't country music topping the charts all over the world but the music sound that is topping the charts all over the world is hip hop, rap, house, which is disco incognito, because music created by black American sells it alway has alway will no matter what race does it.

She would have been cricticized actually, it was an electronic music show not a pop show. People already labeled as "a pop show" because of justin and not sure if because og cl and the other rapper too (cant remember his name) so i guess it was ok like that :)
