True, probably why I keep coming back to older songs and can't actually move on from 2ne1. kpop fans are now focused on breaking records, in fairness to international artists they got their views from casual viewers and not because their fans streamed crazily 24/7 from various devices. I miss the days when a song charts because its fricking great not because the artist is simply the new fad or the artist/mv/song is controversial and gimicky.

People always questioned why Park Bom was the main vocalist and not someone else like Minzy. Minzy was alot more stable and had a better technique than Park Bom, that's for certain. But technique isn't everything. Everything that Park Bom lacked, Minzy had, but everything Park Bom had, was all she needed to captivate you. Especially with songs like this one and Missing you. The pain that Bom could emit with her voice, as if her life depended on that one song was no joke, plus her stage presence was through the roof and her unique tone added to her unique personality. Minzy is an amazing performer and the group wouldn't be the same if she wasn't apart of it but Park Bom was the main vocalist for a reason. I just wish they ended as a group. 😢

she can't sing now? I dont think so, the only difference from then and now is that CL got more lines, like a lot. There is not a thing like a person "cant sing anymore", is about pratice. About Miss Park Bom I think that it would be better to have someone to sustain the high notes, I dont think she can do it well (just look the original MV version and this one). In 2NE1 i think Minzy was an excellent choice to sustain those notes, because she have the most stable voice. Now that 2NE1 disbanded, I wish that Bom sign with another label and mostly of all, work on her low notes, I like her low notes de better, like her cover with Lee Hayi for "All I want for Christmas Is you"

Til now I'm still amazed how stable Minzy's voice are. Not to mention she's so young when she debuted but when she perform it's like she's not nervous at all. She's so professional. Underrated queen. Love them all. Legends.

No GG could ever pull off this kind of charisma while performing. Even sitting, 2ne1 exudes empowerment no Kpop GG could ever surpass. TBH, 3rd and 4th Gen Groups lately are too lazy or too afraid to released ballads as their lead single.

I think it's not the matter of the lines, it's more of which part could Dara do best in the songs. If you try imagining Bom, CL or Minzy to sing her part, it's nearly impossible to sound as good as how Dara does it. In other words, despite the less lines, her parts are actually golden :D

Dara is a mass magnet. If you look at 2ne1, they are built to be intimidating. Their vibe is so strong that it's almost discriminating. Dara's presence dilutes this to create a well-balanced formula that Kpop fans all over the world may digest. Her appeal makes 2ne1 seems relatable, reachable and more charismatic despite the very strong packaging.
