Joanna Kim YG broke many stereotypes. Even YG himself, when he was in Seo Taiji and Boys broke the standards and brought hiphop to the scene which changed the whole kpop concept. Then BIGBANG broke the stereotype that the male groups have to be handsome and the fact that they wrote the lyrics was a big deal. And 2NE1 broke the cute scene by being powerful and badass women, and they didn't have the best visuals either. They all have one thing in common, they have been hated by the public for being the way they are, but at the end they made a huge impact in the kpop scene.

YG artists have! They were my precious second family at the start but this family is falling apart after gummy and seven left. I really love that they're all slowly breaking the stereotype on what beauty should be. I'll truly miss these beautiful people performing together 😭

I love the ending it shows how much Bom and Dara look to CL for strength and support like she's always their to help them through anything. Even though CL is younger she tries to be strong for them and protects them. That's what I call a great leader. She's clever than most people think, she knows exactly what's she's doin and after watching this MV I have full confidence in her album. I really dont understand when people say she doesn't care about 2NE1 when she has saved Dara in the middle of an earthquake, brought 2NE1 to MAMA 2015 and now given her song which was meant to be on her album to 2NE1. How is this girl selfish???

I feel like people judge her cuz she twerks on stage and has that kind of image that people would think that she's dum. CL knows exactly what she's doin and what she wants to do in her life this girl passed all qualification exams for all three levels of education ( Elem, Mid, High School) in a span of 6 months, her fathers a professor and her sister has a scholarship in Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (one of the top 5 Uni's in Asia). The Lee family is basically clever af.

As a Korean, I can tell you, it was entirely the Korean netizens, fans and Korean media that ruined 2NE1. They couldn't, can't and won't get over Bom's scandal, and after that they just found more ways to hate on her. I just don't understand why they didn't get over her scandal when everything was explained for, like they did with so many other artists and celebrities. In part, it's also YG's fault because he just decided to disband one of his most successful groups, but to be honest it wouldn't have gone well for 2NE1 even if they did decide to continue as a three-member group. Minzy most probably realised this and decided to leave on her own part before the official disbandment, which would have been in talks way before she left. Let's just be thankful that 2NE1 gave us a proper farewell, despite the lack of Minzy.

Anyways back in 2014 Park Bom was involved in a drug scandal which you already know. She was said to have had '80+ pills of amphetamine' a drug illegal in South Korea. At the same time a SamSung worker was found with '30+ pills of amphetamine' Now here's where things get difficult. Park Bom prior had seen the death of a close friend in person from what I've been told. She deals w/ depression and or ADHD (which we will come back to) Now drugs are VERY and I mean VERY no in Korea. *'Within the past 10 years, drug crime and the numbers of drug offenders have sub-stantially increased in Korea (Shin, Kang, & Lee, 2002), and the Korean criminal jus-tice system is said to view drug crimes as increasingly severe and worthy of punishment.The most prominent types of drug offenses in South Korean involve marijuana andmethamphetamine, which constitute more than 90% of the South Korean drug cases.'* So you can image how Koreans felt hearing the news about a famous Idol 'smuggling' drugs into Korea for use. This would led to Bom (and 2ne1 as a whole) going on a 3 year hiatus. Which is what ultimately *one* of the factors that led to the downfall of 2ne1 Now here is where things get irritating on loyal *blackjacks* parts A few days ago or so this person (forgot what he was) explains the actual situation from the start to finish of Park Bom So back to what I said in the beginning: Park Bom was allegedly found with 'amphetamine pills' however these were actually Adderall : Stimulant It can treat *ADHD*. It can also treat narcolepsy. Now Adderall contains amphetamine (dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate and amphetamine sulfate) Tablets A single-entity amphetamine product combining the neutral sulfate salts of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine, with the dextro isomer of amphetamine saccharate and d, l-amphetamine aspartate monohydrate. The Samsung guy had actual hands on Amphetamine which is what sent him to jail unlike Bom who's case was just suspended *Suspended* *case* is : an alternative to imprisonment, a judge can suspend a prison or jail sentence. This is typically used in cases involving less serious crimes or for first-time offenders. There are several different kinds of suspended sentences. Now head lines at that time were exaggerating things making it seem like she was getting let off the hook because she was an idol, not only that a hoobae (less experienced Korean in any field ) disrespected Bom by making a diss rap on her (then claimed it wasn't ) which fueled the fire even more. Now Park Bom was only taking 3-4 pills of Adderall a day/week *(Safe Adderall adult doses - Adults might take anywhere from 5 mg to 60 mg of Adderall per day. Usually, this is taken as several pills throughout the day.)* so she was let off the hook and free of chargers because she did *NOT* smuggle *DRUGS* into Korea. They were prescribed by her doctor. This could've been all solved if it hadn't been for netizens (not all netizens but enough to cause damage) and some intl. jumping to conclusions and blacklisting her without know the full story. They are the core reason for the 3 year hiatus of 2ne1 and ONE of the reasons for the downfall of 2ne1 Done. Most won't read this but those who do. It's here

Their vocals are so beautiful I'm sobbing. Also, this song describes so well the harsh reality of the Kpop industry. "Nothing lasts forever", "I cannot stay forever with you". Fans don't realise that all groups are meant to disband one day and ultimately, leave a memory behind them including their fans. A kpop idol's career is ephemeral, they have the glamour and fame for a few years until they are replaced by freshly new kids. It's bound to end and fans are bound to tell them goodbye. But those memories will never fade, until they meet again hopefully one day

Blackpink buddy I'm really upset about 2ne1's disbandment. But I just can't bring myself to hate on YG. I don't think he even deserves to. From the way 2ne1's career went for the past 7 years, I can tell that YG took care of them really well. If it wasn't for him and for the people working in the entertainment, 2ne1 wouldn't exist. It just so happens that nothing in this world can stay permanent. 2ne1 is no exception.Which is why I really hope BlackJacks would stop hating on him. Just like how devastated we are with their disbandment, I'm sure it is also hard for YG to let go of our queens. But it can't be helped. Nothing lasts forever indeed.

Actually, a lot of people criticize YG (Yang Hyunsuk) and even condemn him but I think that he is the one who made 2NE1 big. He is a good boss, really. He gets so close to his artists and even BIGBANG call him "hyung". Maybe because he used to be an artist himself, he knows how it feels to be an idol. But the moment Yang Minsuk (is it correct?) took over, everything seems like a business for him and everything in YG ent became a mess.

Who will agree with me and can't deny the fact that 2NE1 was one of the reason why KPOP now is well known not only in Asian countries but all over the world. They are legends no one can replace 2NE1 . The new generation's KPOP idol should learn to respect these legends also all the older and legendary groups..

I found 2ne1 through Big Bang though. I would say that it happens both ways very often. Big Bang is older and has more music and international tours so it's definitely likely to be the other way around too.

진짜 이렇게 어이없게 끝나기엔 너무 아까운 팀이다... 멋지게 활동하고 멋지게 은퇴 기념 콘서트도 하고 멤버들끼리 만나서 기념 곡도 한곡씩 하고 멋지게 보내줘야하는데... 우리나라 엔터는 왜 마무리가 항상 아쉬운지 모르겠다...아티스트로서 이들을 대우한다면 적어도 마지막을 이렇게 끝냈으면 안됐고, 투애니원의 마지막을 기점으로 YG는 계속해서 아쉬운 행보를 보여준다고 생각함... 지금이라도 YG에서 각 잡고 투애니원 멤버들 다시 모아서 프로젝트 다시 하지 않으면 와이지는 팬들의 신뢰를 회복하기 많이 어려울 걸로 보임

2NE1 are one of the few groups who survived the competiton because of how they match as a group. A member for dancing, and cuteness,a member for badassness and leadership,a member for visuals and fresh vocals,a member for 4d personality and unqiue vocals.2ne1 worked so well together,musically and as sisters as well. They are undoubtedly the most influential girlgroup to me,when they debuted they were critized for having a hip hop image other than the concepts going around in 2009 like sexy and cute.They rebelled against the kpop industry machine and ultimately gained a huge fanbase domestically and internationally. I don't think there is any other girlgroup who has ever done that before them so I applaud them for it.

Actually it is the direction of YG Ent where it is always Hip Hop. 2NE1 certainly did not rebel against kpop and instead followed the YG direction. If history changed and YG is like Antenna Music, probably you wont like 2NE1.

I feel like 2NE1 doesn’t get the recognition they deserve. They changed kpop for the new generation by being different. Cute concepts were the only thing back then but they helped to change that. They were part of a company that used to be a family, surrounded by legends and yet they are now legends themselves. YG Entertainment made such a huge mistake by disbanding them, not listening to them, not sticking up for them. Bom deserved better. CL deserves better. Minzy deserved better. Dara deserves better.
