Ever heard of generational wealth and redlining. Depending on the state your in your parents literally experienced being fd over by both There's a reason the boys in their suburban hellscapes ***ch about the cities so often while dealers, prisons and gentrification bleeds the ghetto for all they are worth as if the solution to poverty in society is there aren't enough people not being rehabilitated in for profit prisons. Equality of treatment on paper and equality of opportunity or outcome differ heavily.

@@lyca0n535 Equality of treatment on paper is the best we can do. Because not everyone is equal in all ways. Equality of opportunity and outcome (equity) are directly opposed. The right supports equality of opportunity and lets the chips fall where they may. The left focuses on equality of outcome and NEVER holds the individual accountable for any of their life choices...it's always society or the "oppressor class" that made those poor life choices for them.

I would caution on the impulse to solve "their own problems" as a maxim directed toward one's own neighbors or area populations, guys. Working out one's internal difficulties toward self-sufficiency, or self-reliance is a good Prepper attitude when tempered with the idea no one household is an island to themselves. One must have association with other people to maintain in the long term. The world Pandemic taught many of us that. Even the most prepared will not last long without accepting and giving help to others.

As a combat vet, I have to say, let us hope such a scenario does NOT come to pass, because it won't be at all like our first one. Fratricidal wars are all too often the most bloodily horrific wars there are. In a sense we are already in one, mostly a war over information, and culture. It just hasn't become widely kinetic. Yet. If the trajectory doesn't change, I fear that eventually it will become kinetic. Americans killing other Americans, isn't something I'M looking forward to.

A person was traveling in an airplane. There was a problem with the flight, and they landed in NJ. Because of delays, they unloaded the luggage. When the person was being directed to the new flight, he was arrested. In his checked bags, he had 2x 15 round magazines. In NJ, the legal limit is 10 rounds. Each magazine carries a 10 year prison sentence. This person is in a NJ prison, with a 10 year sentence. This is a true story. The Attorney General for his state of residence is not able to get this man out of jail, and NJ is using this story to warn people to keep these guns out of their state. This is how broken our country has become.

If there's another civil war in the US, there won't be battle lines drawn as in our old conventional civil war. It won't be region against region like north versus south. It will be neighbor against neighbor. And militias will be challenged because grown men will be needed in their home because the wife and children will need him there to protect them and provide their needs. Families will need to fortify their homes and will need many resources to sustain their way of life. Those resources will be hard to come by because shipping and transportation will be very challenged. A husband/father will be reluctant to leave the home to even fish or hunt for fear of coming home to a crisis at the end of the day.... marauders and criminals on the streets. I could go on but I'm sure you get the point.

Since there are not two contiguous regions where the opposing factions reside, a second civil war would be much different then the previous one. Geographically, the two camps are mianly rural vs Urban, mostly in the largest cities. The "loyalty" of the door kickers and JDAM droppers is what would largely determine the outcome of a violent conflict. Regarding EMP, the GOV has done extensive testing, and most of the results remain classified; which leads me to believe that many items will be zapped.

The thing about a true civil war is that anybody radicalized enough to see violence as the only means of change, can learn how to fight. Its a right wing fantasy that because the "door kickers" are mostly conservative, that there are not plenty of them who would train up a left wing insurgency because they are left leaning themselves or they have friends and family they won't just stand by and watch get killed. The left leaning urban based camp in the cities have the numbers and if they see the struggle as one for the lives of friends and family as well as their way of life, they will fight.

An EMP from the Sun is a totally different thing than from a Nuke. The EMP from the Sun is a long wave DC plasma cloud that DC couples to the overhead power lines and saturates the cores of transformers, and burns them out. The DC induced could be as high as 2KV per km of line, so if your power station is 100km away the induced pulse into your house could be 200KV. Anything plugged in will be destroyed. However a nuke emits the full spectrum of frequencies and destroys everything plugged in or not and also induces a pulse into the grid, whether overhead or underground lines.

The parts about people not really being to where they are ready reminds me of this, courtesy of our founding fathers: "Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."

I just watched the Patriot last night on KZread. Your conversation about Civil War is one of my worst fears. If you see the Patriot you will know how destructive a civil war can be to one's home and family. All the country's unsolved problems come to the front. Can we not wittle away at some of the most important problems to mutual satisfaction that preserves our rights now unstead of later in an armed conflict? Respect the process, and your opponents.

So somebody needs to start thinking of this stuff in a sensible way and get others to start thinking in the same way too- even though it's not too different than what most well-prepped people already know. but you don't want to be caught unprepared.

Or you could go full Bush man in the wild if one goes to do so if your family has a bunker also be a performed method as long as you're not too bad of a area.

Seriously, read this book “America’s man on horseback, by Guy Odem”. This is the solution to our problem, not a civil war, unless the outcome of said civil war is a new temporary one man government. Unless a convention of states can be agreed upon to rewrite and amend the constitution and bill of rights to satisfy the geographical majority, otherwise what we will end up with is the balkanization and tribalism that you see in Eastern Europe after the fall of the Soviet Union, rather than a rebirth of a country.
