    Clean 2nd gen, couldn’t help but notice the giggle value placement on the thermostat. Not sure if that was final or not but it was at the 12 o clock, the giggle valve is supposed to be at the 6 o clock position. Makes a huge difference in coolant temps, my 3.4 runner at the highest was like 216 degrees but after I put the giggle valve to the 6 o’clock position I haven’t seen temps go over 195.

    Thank you for sharing this! I have a 1990 and I know the V6 3.0L 3VZE have had a notorious history for their head gasket issues. I really want the 5VZE 3.4 CAM so bad! How long did it take you and your friends to do this swap?

    Thank you for watching! Once I did the maintenance repairs on the 3.4 it only took us about two weekends. We got really lucky by finding a donor vehicle being exactly the same as our recipient. It’s definitely work the work!

    How did you create clearance for the 3.4 engine and the hood? Most swaps I've seen have had to cut a section of the hood for the 3.4.

    We used the factory 3.0 engine mounts, the intake is close but doesn’t hit. We did have to cut out a spot of the hood insulation but none of the cross braces. Thanks for watching!

    What kind of wheel spacers are those? 2 inchers?

  • @speedy94-

    @speedy94-

    Жыл бұрын

    Spacers are 1.5, I ran a set of FJ rock warrior 17 inch wheels for a while( wish we still had em) the hub bore was smaller on those and I only wanted enough extra space to clear that. As of now we are running 15x10s with a spacer only on the rear.
