Thanks for revisiting I-84 in the Boise Metro. I still enjoy watching the video you did of it years ago. Since you filmed this, IDT finally finished widening I-84. it's now at least a 6 lane freeway between ID SH 19 & ID SH 21- which is 30 miles. Seeing the amount of traffic on it, I can't picture a 4-lane freeway being able to handle all of it. & I'm sure in the future, IDT will widening it even more One more to go!

I moved to Boise in 1991 from Denver. Love Boise love The mountains Great place to live. Definitely growing lots of people moving here

Thanks for the great video! In the last 30 years, I've driven that road more than a few times. The difference between the number of vehicles now and the number of vehicles 30 years ago, even 20 years ago, is unbelievable. The last time I drove through, it felt like I was in a metropolitan area the size of Atlanta instead of Boise. The area near the university was insane congestion. Despite the traffic density, Boise is a great city, so I can see why people want to move there.

Not the first one you've done for Boise, but it's decently made and a clear day. I know a few people who've retired to Idaho out of the Military, and they enjoy it. Even if the winters can be a little more nasty than what they were used to elsewhere. A little bit of trivia: the Sheriff of Ada County was lynched by the local vigilantes in 1876. He was moonlighting as a horse thief!

Weird to know why Metro Boise is home to 4 of the Top 5 largest cities in Idaho as the metropolitan area continues to grow.

Because Boise’s metropolitan area is set in a good geographic location, unlike basically every other city in Idaho.

@@CardboardBox98, speaking of a good location, it's in the Treasure Valley, it's through the Boise River on the western edge of the Rockies and the Snake River flows south of Boise. The urban area seen here is like a group of 4 core cities, but it's actually Boise (the core city) with 3 western satellite cities.

The Boise Metropolitan Area have the Top 4 largest cities: 1. Boise, the state capital and county seat of Ada County, ID, 2. Meridian, the largest city in Idaho that's not a county seat, 3. Nampa, the largest city in Canyon County, ID and second largest city in Idaho that's not a county seat, 4. Caldwell, the county seat and second largest city in Canyon County, ID.

I-84 just keeps expanding west of Boise. They really ought to replace the new signs though. The font is an eyesore.

For such a huge growth, important consolidation will need to be done so that the metro is served by reliable, fast and high capacity transportation. Are there any rail pt project?

I must ask, what do you use to make those exit sign displays you show? It seems you have every one needed for these videos lol.
