Beautiful sprite work. Enoko's little *"buri hamachi"* dance is absolutely precious. Also happy to see both classic cats back in the franchise again. Even if Chen is just a minor role, all she need to do is SPIIIIIIIIN~! 🐈‍⬛ Orin's attack pose is conically good. Hissing hell cat. 😹

These Might be the Best Touhou Sprites yet and could be really great we see more in furture games

The sprite-art for this game is fantastic, and although I love ZUN's style, seeing something new is always cool. While Chiyari and Yuuma looking like total gremlins is iconic, I like Reimu and Nazrin's movements with their gohei or dowsing rods. I find it to be very pleasing to look at.

Current favs: Reimu looking so done in her attack animation SPEEEEEEN cat is back Aunn is an eternal good girl Orin's ANGEY attack animation Seiran's wind-up before her attack has super nice posing Suika takes a swig in her 'moving' sprite Enoko's little dance she does in her attack animation Chiyari's creepy af attack animation

Chiyari's sprites is... something: Idle animation : Just chilling. Attack animation : BURN IN HELL!!! I'LL SUCK YOUR BLOOD DRY!!!

I really like Enoko's sprite animation. So cute!

I love the massive floofy ran tails

I think my favorites are the weapon spinning on Yuuma and Biten. I really hope people start making Danmakufu scripts with custom sprites in this style.

No, since she exists outside the boundaries of gensokyo, or maybe turned into an oni long before gensokyo existed (the former is more likely)

~0:55 it sounds like muffet's laugh from undertale. Considering toby fox's love of Ran, and the colab happening, I wonder if that was intentional or not (Or I could be talking out of my ass here and that's a random soud effect playing at a perfect time)

Yeah, that laugh tends to play when you miss capturing a spellcard in most of the games. I don't know if it's changed any, but I'm pretty sure it's the same sound effect we've always had in the main touhou shooting games... Interesting timing though, for a link like that to be made.

The laugh first appeared in Touhou 13: Ten Desires back in 2011. Everytime you “Time Out” any spell card (wait for the time limit for each spell card runout), that sound effect will play. The laugh you heard in Ran’s part happens because the A.I opponent time out the player spell/boss attack. Undertale was not come out until 2015.

The sprites are so good yet the art stays the same. Good ol ZUN.
