Yujin was smart to not pick a ridiculously difficult song here and try to impress everyone with her technical prowess, but instead to go with something fun and show off her stage presence and overall polish. This is only the opening round, no need to try to win the whole show right here. All she needed to do was relax, enjoy herself, and be appealing to watch, which she succeeded at 100%. Just veteran idol things.

Beg to disagree, bubble pop is not an easy song to perform. In either to perform it good, you must have that charisma, energy, voice and dance in all. Not typically be appealing just you want to perform it.

The greatest part about this performance is that she doesn't yet show everything but show just enough to show everyone her charm

I dont think this was the best represntation of her skills. However it certainly showed her charming presence. I get what you mean by difficult song and that people do it and it doesnt pay off, but yujin has the skills to do one and make it pay off. but yeah thats just what i think

to be honest i think she did really well. it takes skill to choose a song that fits you and makes you stand out as well. i mean it may not have been super wow but she made a really good and wise choice and showed a stable performance that i personally think most trainees would not be able to show. she had stable vocals despite the very staccato dance moves and also she was able to show her charm. and while everyone else was doing the girl crush concept, she was able to stand out amongst them.

She was awesome. We have to think that she is used to sing with other girls while dance so she have time to take her breath and in the show she is alone and singing a difficult song cuz is energetic and required a lot of her. Even Hyuna singing this, she lose her breath sometimes.

as a dancer, i wanna say not wearing shoes and performing on stage is actually very admirable because the vibration of the stage actually makes you more nervous than you wearing shoes or high heels to dance. I tried it before on stage ( well i was suddenly told to dance barefoot ) it was so shocking that i became even more more nervous thus making me somehow you know forget steps yujin fighting!

She was asked why she took off her shoes before the performance and said it's because the shoes are very new and hurt her feet pretty bad the last 2 days while practicing, so she made the decision right there to do it without. Which the judges agreed with. So not only did she manage to dance so well without shoes, but it was also not even planned, but a last minute decision.

Okay, so Yujin made a great move on choosing Bubble Pop. Many people may see it as weak and yeah it's one of the easier choreo of Hyuna, but this song made Yujin's vocal to stand out also while doing some pretty decent difficulty choreo for the audition! I love to see that she's just enjoying and seeing her perf made me happy too, also see those reactions from the panelists, it's pretty great!

보컬은 7년차치곤 보컬라인 못끼지만 서브보컬로써는 충분히 활약할수 있는 정도고 일단 무엇보다 카메라 안놓치고 표정이랑 여유.자신감 그리고 발끝 디테일이랑 시선처리 애티튜드 진짜 완벽하게 잘 해냈다 춤도 조금은 다듬어야 할 부분이 몇개 있지만 너무 잘했다 라이브인데

桜Cherry can we stop bringing her into everything and just appreciate yujin. Even fu yaning herself enjoyed yujins performance so everyone else can too. It took guts for yujin to go out there and audition again after debuting 7 years ago, she’s been through a lot so please stop putting attention on fu yaning and give yujin recognition without the uneccesary side of hatred, it really ruins the mood because it will just start a thread of hate and it won’t be about yujin anymore it’ll be everyone hating on FYN. I know you mean well and have good intentions for yujin but there’s just better ways to go about the situation. So let’s appreciate what we have to appreciate and work towards yujins positive redebut, it’s a fresh start for her so let’s not ruin it with hate. Yujins performance will speak louder then anything else. She’s a strong person to come this far she’s gone through a lot herself I’m sure she’d rather be appreciated for her skills instead of compared to FYN all the time and recieving compliments only out of that, she herself said she never got many compliments as an idol so this is the time to show her we do care about her and we do recognise her talent as an individual. You can tell she a true performer as she was one of the only ones that performed for the audience at home by playing with the cameras and not just the audience at the studio.

I'm not a CLC fan but I really like Yujin, she has been very underrated for the past 7 years, I'm glad she has another chance to show all her talent and potential here. She Is my first pick so I hope mnet don't cheat on the rankings like in their previous shows. 🙄 Let's make it to top 9 Yujin!! Fighting!!

@@sarah35559 If you're asking about Yujin, she's a participant of the competition but she's already a member of the girl group CLC which has been active until last year. Their company CUBE decided not to invest in them anymore so they're dismissed unofficially.

@@blairle657 So, Yujin said in GP999 even that CLC was waived, and the group's contract ends in the next year, which means that they are on hiatus on purpose until the end of the contract if they dont want to pay a fine... And she loves being an idol, so she probably wants to continue with a solo career

Excellent song choice. She knows her skills well. People should calm down. This is just the start of the show, she has many more chances to show different sides of her.

I like how she picked a song where she is really comfortable with, she's just having fun and I'm really happy for that. She stood out even though she performed it effortlessly.

Her voice was so stable during the whole performance. Well She is a cube artist after all. I hope even after now cube will treat CLC better. They. Deserve recognition. Edit :first it was "dismissed" not "disbanded". I hope people will stop spreading misinformation. Let's not waste time on talking about that. We have to support yujin in fullest. She deserves the world and so much more. 💔 I could only imagine how tough it must be for a senior idol like her to go back to square one. That must've been somewhat humiliating because that's not where she should be given the 7 years that she was in the group. But I admire her now more than ever for having the courage to pursue her dreams no matter what. She's so strong and brave and charming and just simply wonderful. She's always been beautiful, but she sure has matured gracefully 💗. Our Yujinie 😭💗. Everyone could tell she wasn't here to become more famous, but to simply continue doing her passion. What Cube has done is worse than a lot of people realise. They haven't officially announced a disbandment for CLC because that would mean releasing the girls from their contracts, but the dismissal Yujin talked about is the company basically saying they aren't willing to give them any more activities. Because it isn't an official disbandment the girls are stuck wasting more time in the dungeon despite Cube being very open for over a year that they won't give them another comeback. disbanding would let the girls move on but Cube refuses to do that for whatever reason, idk whether it's punishment for Elkie or what but they're being unnecessarily petty and vindictive. If a company isn't willing to support a group the least they can do is terminate their contract and give them their freedom rather than keeping them stuck in limbo.

the way i sobbed so hard before her performance, during her performance, and after her performance. yujin is such a star, she was born to be an idol, she's absolutely incredible. hearing her talk about her hardships and insecurities and then hearing the judges all praise her for her performance.. i cried so many happy tears for her. she deserves this so much, and i really hope she makes the final lineup. yujin fighting!!!

Hyuna sounds simple but Hyuna song Is a kind of music that not all performer can performed well. Hyuna has that bubbly charismatic move and Yujin is a living proof of carrying Hyuna way of performing. And yes Yujin is a great professional one. I saw a lot of trainee from day 1 and Yujin here is like not a contestant but a performer, she's not trying to impress everyone but everyone look impress on how she dance, sing and performed in front of them and as well the camera. She perform not only to the contestant and master but also us viewers of the show.

@@DisingenuousComment im a dancer myself, bubble pop is pretty tiring, the dance itself needs good stamina what more to sing it live. yujin alone did great in this performance lol. even hyuna live performance sounds out of breath, most of the time she lipsync the singing part but her rap parts are always live.

Maintaining the composure while singing and dancing is not easy

Y'all don't understand but if Yujin is one the members for the final line up, she'll become a good leader since she has a lot more experience than all of them. She could lead her group well by giving them advices, pointing out their mistakes, and telling them what to improve. I'm crying but if this really happens, the group will be so much perfect compared to the last seasons.

@@Salma04445 well, this is mnet. Anything could happen. Look at Chowon from PD48, she's very talented and was supposed to be in the 6th place for the finals but got on 13th place instead.

This is the Yujin we know deserves the center in Kep1er’s cute concepts. She’s contagiously energetic, cute, and shines brightly. Also an excellent dancer and with flawless vocals. Yet she was given no lines for two comebacks now. Kep1er’s Up! is a cute concept, it belongs to Yujin, and they sideline her. We cannot accept this, we need to defend this talented girl who fought for her dreams and is only being used as popularity bait. She deserves more than this

@Mary Sue They are not officially disbanded (no statement from cube) and Yujin was mistranslated (basically said company wouldn't give clc more promo) Clc would at this point need something to turn things around and attract a company to invest in them I hope Yujin will make it to final lineup of gp999
