The large o-ring, at the back of the crankshaft, I tap in with the old o-ring. this is going very well.

Great tip Julien, the perfect size to tap the new one in with.
Really good series. Therapeutic to watch, and as others have said it's free of the manufactured drama or back story. This is much more satisfying, thank you.

Glad you liked it. It is quite therapeutic to do....as long as things go well. Thanks a lot for watching!
So informative, thank you.

Really enjoying the whole series. I don’t own a Citroen , but love your approach to your work.

Glad you like them! I just enjoy tinkering away in the garage. My tastes are varied so there will be an odd mix of stuff on the channel. Thanks again for watching!
Thanks a lot. Enjoying these very much. The BBC could learn a lot from you to improve their Repair Shop programme. Less of the heart-warming back stories (and the presenter pretending to do something useful) and more of the actual detail of the repair.

Thanks John, that is very kind of you and much appreciated. Glad you enjoy them and thanks for watching!
Thanks Mark once again another very well made video,What are we going to do next when the engine has been rebuilt!!!

Thanks a lot Steven. I am not sure yet but I might cover a couple of the smaller yet irritating jobs like dealing with broken / rusted exhaust studs and perhaps pushrod tube replacement? My BSA build is also nearing the end so I have to find another bike project too. No rest for the wicked...

A pushrod tube replacement video would be brilliant timing Mark as I’ve a 602 with a perforated/worn out pushrod tube. I’m using an old spare engine but would prefer the original repaired and back in. I was going to try to repair it with those aluminium sticks that you heat with a butane torch but replacement would be a far better.
Sorry to ask but did you put a new cooper washer on the long bolt of the oil filter housing?
@oldnutsgarage

Hi Carlos, the long bolt had a new copper washer, the short one has a steel one and the old washer was re-used. Thanks for watching!

Tks. I asked because i didn't see you putting it. I've started a new engine and your vids are a great guide. Good luck and stay safe

I should have mentioned it in the video but sometimes I just keep working away and forget stuff. Good luck with the engine rebuild !
Didn't he forget to drop those two cylindrical push - rod - something elements between camshaft and rocker rods ? Maybe he did it out of the camera.

The cam followers are both in there, I must rewatch the video but I think they were mentioned. Thanks for watching!
Naturally these videos are pushing up the prices of old 2CVs... Rats!

Sadly they have been rising for a long time now, along with all the other stuff I love. Anyone got a Renault 4 van going cheap?

@@oldnutsgarage and, paradoxically, this cheers me. In this day of anonymous, androgynous boring cars people still get a buzz out of the 2CV. As an old fella, it gives me hope that something, at least, is all well with the world...

@@oldnutsgarage and, by the way, when a Renault 4 starts to go 'cheap', it tends to be expensive...
