2 Cor 2:12-6:10___ Paul saw himself as sharer in Christ’s triumphs, and as one bringing the fragrance of Christ ____ to the unbelieving world as the smell of death, and to the believing as the fragrance of life. He contrasts the great message of the gospel and the newness of life that it brings with the weak and afflicted earthen vessel that he is (and we are). It was by these sufferings that the great apostle commended himself to the Corinthian church, putting no obstacle in the way of any, lest they “receive the grace of God in vain”
