Hahaha I also just wrote that. Great minds. Nick never misses a boat show and in some cases, he's at the pre-launch which is cooler in status, but has way less food.

This boat is an incredible value...yes, I understand where all the shortcuts are taken...buy if you give this boat extra TLC, you're getting a hell of a lot of boat for the money

I love the idea of this boat! My wife and I are going to be empty nesters soon. We want to cruise from a home port in Florida to the Bahamas and Caribbean. This Northman would be perfect, except I’d rather have a 2 cabin layout with more room in the heads with more storage. Also, having a house bank of lithium batteries and a solar Bimini would be an absolute dream come true. I know this boat isn’t really meant for that but I’m not seeing any manufacturer doing anything like this. Always enjoy your videos Nick! You are now my favorite boat review channel, in fact the only one I watch. I appreciate that you get on with it and don’t belabor the tour.

Affordable... Well, it depends on you consider things.. That's not a multi millions dollars yatch you're right, but still unaccessible to more than 99% people (if you think reasonably that price of your boat shouldn't exceed 10% of your total assets, this boat is only for people having more than 3M$...😌)

There is a lot of good planning here, and also nice that the usable speed range is enough for serious cruising. This would be perfect for the Baltic Sea (where I do my boating) and I could see myself buying a boat like this. Access to that flybridge is also perfect, here it is only usable in nice weather so makes sense to have it more or less out of the way. I´m quite taken with this one, need to find out more. Thanks, Nick for showing this.

Not cheap, but also not cheap looking. That's a very complete boat for a very good price. You might not be able to go to Jersey in 20 minutes but if you want to take the family on a multi-week tour of the canals and rivers this has you covered. Really nice boat! Thanks for the tour!

That engine room was surprisingly spacious. I guess having a single vs. twin engine configuration makes all the difference. For a "potter" down a river or a light easy cruise along the coast, this one seems ideal from an economic perspective. The accommodation also seems comfortable enough as well. It's nice that you can buy a new legitimately 3-cabin boat for under 400k (pounds of course). That's got to be a rarity.

I think the flybridge is a great addition, it gives loads or versatility and use of wasted space. The boat on a whole is a lovely compact ship! Lovely tour thanks Nick.

Great to see also affordable boats in the market and on the channel Nick, and the Northman 1200 comes across very well. I love the simplicity of the approach, plus three double cabins. Many thanks.

Not a fan of the fly-bridge myself but this is a lovely well designed little cruiser and the fly-bridge is one of the best I've seen! Superb tour 👌 Loved the lighting too, and masses of storage neatly planned design! Love it 😀

I like the flybridge. But the stairs up are a bit sketchy. I can see an unplanned wake sending someone overboard.

That's good thinking putting the way up to the fly-bridge at the front keeping the rear space free. I did not see a generator, but there is plenty of room to put a small one in the space behind the engine.

I like it. I would be interested if they only had outside passage on one side and could expand the salon width a bit.

Nice cruiser. Being from Florida my non negotiables are generator, a/c, windlass. Thoes three options are mandatory for Bahamas cruising. So, the boat doesn't even get considered without them. That said, this is a nice size boat for cruising, and the layout seems manageable. A little to Ikea not enough "boat styling" for me, but nice. Thanks Nick for the tour. After reviewing the video, the dual heads isn't desirable with the toilet in the shower. Needs one proper head with shower. I guess this isn't a boat for me! lol

Horses for courses, as the old saying goes. This boat clearly isn't aimed at the Florida market. This is a Polish boat built for the European market.

Love it

It is NOT a Princess.... But boy, could this make a first yacht for many! It is (as the first one with the sunbeds on top was) one of the few boats I could see myself buying from new. It is within reach in the not too distant future, and the lay-out is very good for a small family to be used for weekends and vacations. It is basic, I know - but it still has all you need to go proper boating. Their webside is a bit crude, and with my limited abilities in terms of searching I haven't found out which category this boat is, hopefully a B, but maybe just C? 450 miles range does give you the possibility to go many places and in a bit of style as well. Thank you Nick, you feed our "boat souls" even during the dark times of winter. (Actually You could buy 2,5 of these boats for the cost of one week on the Lurssen 73 metre yacht you showed us about 2 weeks ago.... just thinking)

What a remarkably practical little vessel, and f/b too... excellent

For a twelve eter boat , they have included a lot . I thought the three cabins maybe included a fold down bed in the salon , but three seperate cabins , two shower rooms plus everything else , very well thought out and planning.

Big thumbs up from me 👍. I love your tours of these more affordable (but still not much less than my house!) boats - the dream seems a bit more achievable somehow.

I was very curious how to get up to the flybridge at first. BTW, I think it's better to keep one head and one shower than to have two wet heads. It's really annoying to stand in a puddle of water.

I thought the same. If used by a family everybody will end up using one as the shower. Far better to have a separate bigger shower and dedicated head. Even drop the ensuite access from the master if it improves space usage.

? Neither one is a wet head. There are separate showers. After a closer inspection, the toilets are in the shower.

When you look at it as 4 separate positions, I'd probably think i.e. about 1 head+ lavatory and 2 showers. Or 2 heads with tiny lavatories just to wash your hands, shower and ordinary lavatory space.

I totally agree. I never understood this need to have en-suite heads for every cabin, but crappy, cramped ones. Wet heads are a pain. 1 big bathroom for 2-3 cabins is plenty enough

Why modern motor yachts still have fixed swim platforms at back which easily add 3 ft (or 1 metre) to the real length without providing any accommodation space whatsoever. Whereas, most sailing yachts have adapted folding swim platform. So, a 30ft sailing boat is a true 30ft boat, not a 27ft with a 3ft swim platform...

That’s a really nice bit of kit. Well laid out and the addition of the fly bridge is an excellent feature

A no nonsense practical boat by the look of it, almost Spartan. It probably does the job but without the bells on. Personally I'd prefer darker wood doors etc. I wonder if they do that as an option? Thanks for the review Nick. For a second I thought we might have had a cooking demonstration. ( Whoops.) 😃

No fancy stuff though practical and affordable in aquiring as well as running costs.

Great tour of a very good value for money boat. Perfect for inland waterways or light coastal work. Plenty of space, style and practicality for the money.

That’s a superb piece of design. Clear and clever thinking, especially the ladder.

A nice concept but that small owners cabin would never tempt me away from a full walk around island double berth aft cabin boat. Good walk through video.

I'll tell you what Nick that is a really attractive cruiser...1 litre an hour...that's amazing. Nice berths, all very pleasing. I'd definitely want a flying bridge myself...that's where the fun is, whether on a sunny day or at night...I want to see the clouds or the stars..and it's a great place for a cheeky cocktail when at anchor. That boat has nothing to be ashamed of...for a 36ft cruiser she is an absolute beauty.

It's not 1 litre an hour it's 1 litre a mile at 8 knots

I liked this one. Practical with very little dead space. But that burnerhob with touchcontrol looks like a real firehazard. I don't understand why producers nowadays can't stick to mechanical solutions that lasts for ages. There is nothing hip and modern about it when your yacht catches fire.

Excellent! Very good 👍 I'm imagining a single pensioners lifestyle. With room for trouble 😁... really great vessel, bread and butter is tops in my book.

Really nice little boat. Love the interior and all the light coming in. I'd love something in that size to cruise around.

The blue IKEA bag in the engine room was rather symbolic. A great and sensible boat!

My family would love this. We could cruise from the east Bay Area to San Francisco and the continue on to Monterey.

Long day and week at work. “The full Tour” with a frosty glass is a brilliant way to end the day. God bless Nick Marianne and jack the sack!

What a cracking little boat it would be ideal for around the Costa del sol.

Fantastic first yacht, very well appointed based on sticker price, two bathrooms and kitchen make for smooth weekend getaways. The fuel consumption is incredibly low and the Yanmar will run forever. Topped off with a simple but functional flybridge would put this one on my shopping list Thank you Nick great tour as always

Honestly I would rather have seen a two cabin and nicer shower but apart from that this boat really is nice, oh yeah and joystick on the flybridge for docking... apart from that this boat is very good...

What a great affordable boat - totally uncomplicated - less to go wrong! And you can have an electric (fuel cell) propulsion version!

Was going to say that no separate shower, but not exactly the case here. Even though the day heads toilet is in the shower cubicle, the other toilet across the corridor is accessible from the corridor as well so can be used if the shower area is wet.

She's a beautiful boat. I'd love to see an on-the-water video of a displacement cruiser going along at higher speeds to feel what that's like. I imagine it wouldn't elicit a patented Nick 30+ knot "Yahoo!", but maybe a sotto voce "Weeeee!" perhaps?

What I like most of all, is the Heineken in the fridge, looks like they know a good beer over there!

Since i follow you, this one is the best value for money ! This is one which could be affordable (or almost!) for the majority of your followers but contains all check-list: 3 cabines, nice aft and a fly bridge ! Who Can Do better?

Great simple and practical boat! Room in the engine space for a generator. First I thought it said Nordhavn! I was already running to my bank for a cashier's check!!!

This is a wonderful boat for a family that wants to do more then a day run and has everything you need to go out for a week, a month, or however long. You get more bang for the buck. 🙂

The seat-looking piece at the aft end of the flybridge has hinges on it. I imagine that's either just for more space/access or there is something under it.

Absolutely bloody lovely. I loved the last one you did and mentioned I’d rather have 5 of these and share them out than 1 very expensive one. Of course you don’t get quality but let’s face it some of the premium brands are over the top quality, this is functional, does the job and inexpensive. I live in Mudeford and caravans and beach huts cost more than this but you get running water and electric unlike the beach huts lol! The build of these such as the cabinets, bathrooms, bedrooms and furnishings actually remind me of a caravan park static unit, we have happily frequented those for years and one of these would have same feel, shut a door, clunk a cupboard shut in a static caravan and you’ll spot the similarity! Great boat and I suspect a few views coming your way Nick 😂

I really liked the layout! I would prefer only 2 rooms :)

Simple access to family boating…….. not glitzy or opulent but quality build and finish. Still a fair chunk of money, but cheap by comparison to most of the latest fare…… Plenty shove and lazy economy, although I’d want to see an auxiliary mount for an outboard - just in case. I like the enclosure for the engine, freeing up storage space…… 🙂 Nice one Nick 🙂

tidy boat! I do like it when you do the smaller ones. makes me feel like I could afford one someday.

Great use of interior space on this boat. Only thing I don't love is the flybridge access; that ladder looks like it wouldn't be much fun in a seaway. A vertical (or near vertical) ladder from the cockpit would take up minimal space and offer much more protected access to the flybridge.

i love it. great for couple or family. and price is just excellent

This would be an ideal boat for the Great Loop in Canada and USA.
