Something to play with the pattern, or any of the genes that expand the darker parts of the pattern, as well as keeping them as dark as possible

you are constantly setting such a high bar for yourself, and the whole industry - which is great. and I've said it before, but for me, a big part of that high bar is how calm and relaxed your snakes are, and how you guys handle them so gently and with such respect. I have seen some other breeders on KZread showing off some beautiful morphs, but handling them with seemingly no regard for the animal's comfort & stress level, grabbing them out of the bins like designer bags or something. and in turn, the snakes look like they want nothing to do with being handled at all. I know it's a lot of work dealing with that many animals, but for me little things like not yanking open/slamming shut the bins, and treating them all as individual animals means a lot. I'm sure happier snakes also = nicer clutches! congrats once again! the light grayscale and dark morphs with clean negative space or splashes of paradox are my - top 2 faves!

the Axanthic DG G-Stripe Clown will be the best quad. No ifs ands or buts. These babies look like super blades but it doesn’t seem to be detracting from the look at all.

Those are insane looking snake’s definitely killed it

Been following for quite sometime, amazing pythons for sure. My newbee question is about how they're raised. As a breeder, do they spend most of their lives in those containers? and if so, do you believe the lack of light reflects on the color in anyway?

Well most ball pythons spend majority of their time in burrows made by other animals, essentially anywhere that is dark. There are some breeders that do have smaller collections that allow their ball pythons to be in larger enclosures. Most of the ball pythons that I see on YT that do live in these containers still breed, eat, live long lives as well as get heat and cool spots in their tubs (one half has some sort of heating element and a cooler section if the heating area gets too hot for them). I have not seen any sort of metabolic disease that some reptiles can get due to insufficient lighting or nutrient deficiencies in the ball pythons. As long as they recieve food, water, heating, some sort of substrate and some handling, these ball pythons can live very well. There has been some research done by scientists on the discussion of this topic along with the type of lighting.

Thank you for that explanation. I appreciate you taking the time. My only experience was 40+ years ago in college I purchased and owned a Red tail boa for 5 years until he got too big and I advertised and re homed him. These ball pythons are amazing.

Hey guys, love the channel. Off topic question. My 2yr old ball hasn’t eaten in 2-3 mos and I know it’s probably brumation but he’s still very active at night and when I try to feed him he seems very interested and about to strike but then backs off. I feed him thawed food but should I try live or just be patient? Thanks and any comments are welcome.

We'd try live if you're concerned, but it's also very normal for them to go off feed over the winter at that age.

Personally I think an Axanthic DG Pied would be the better triple recessive.
