28" ITP Blackwater Evolution MUD Terrain Tires | ITP BeadLOCK Rims | Comparison & REVIEW

Ойын-сауық

Mounting up a set of smooth riding but still very aggressive 28 inch Black water EVOs on milled bead lock rim. My initial thoughts and quick trail ride at the homestead. These are a great fit for my 2018 POLARIS Sportsman XP 1000 Hunter.

    7 psi on an ATV with beadlocks is pointless drop them down to 4 psi and I promise the ride and grip will blow ur mind I had 30 regular mudlites on beadlocks on a 900 xp and only ran 5 psi they griped amazing and never had any issues felt like I was riding on a cloud

    Both are excellent tires. Blackwaters handling awesome and are super capable in any situation. The blackwaters have the edge because of the deeper 1" lugs. Greatest all around tire with incredible traction and smooth ride.

    I did 28x11 all 4 corners.. you should have done that the all 4 being the same option really improves how it handles and gives the front a bit more flotation in soft areas.. and yes mine are 28x11 blackwaters.. i love them! Great tire

    That depends on the actual measured diameter and total weight of what you are putting on. Some tires are very deceiving like you mention. Youll be fine on level surface, but once you encounter resistance belt will slip. And technical trail drivablity will suck.

    I am hesitant between this Blackwater Evolution and the Bearclaw HTR for forestry terrain (rocks, hills, roots). Searching for video examples showing evidence of grip on roots and rocks. Your test @24:01 (low/4WD) unable to get grip on rock pile. This is very disappointing for my need, although read all good things on the blackwater tire. Anyone has comment on this tire grip on rocks and hills? Why this rock pile unable to climb on?

  • @JohnFrancoNH

    @JohnFrancoNH

    Жыл бұрын

    I wasnt trying to actually go up the rock pile. I would of air down to 4 psi if i want to do that. The rocks were loose and very steep. But ITP blackwater evos over bearclaws HTR anyday. ITP is a much better tire compound wise and and for over all traction in most surfaces. EVOs have deeper lugs and steer and drive smooth because of the round tire profile. EVOs would be my pick!

  • @JohnFrancoNH

    @JohnFrancoNH

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes.. less aggressive acceleration if you do not do a proper clutch kit for the tires you plan on replacing. There is no way around this. Stock clutch is made for super lightweight 25-26" rim/tires combos. After the clutch kit acceleration is back. The only cavet is you will up your engagement rpms. Thanks for watching!
