This was my soundtrack to the pandemic. I remember walking the completely empty streets with this in my headphones. All i had with me was an emergency work permit and the faint hope that i might survive this. Epic cover.

Interesting because this song captures dread, pain, loss, all things apocolyps. But you find that at times those sounds and emotions can come off as peacfull.

I really love how they mixed together Hamlet and True detective into this theme... The best is Cohle's part : To realize that all your life - you know, all your love, all your hate, all your memories, all your pain - it was all the same thing. It was all the same dream, a dream that you had inside a locked room, a dream about being a person. And like a lot of dreams, there's a monster at the end of it.

Truly, of the only 3 metal versions of this track worth playing, this one sits on top of the pile. It's certainly the most slick & well produced package.
