I have been watching many of your videos and find them absolutely amazing. Your working knowledge of these drives are astounding, especially without the aid of schematics. I am an exercise equipment technician, but usually when it comes to boards I just change them out. I have been trying to understand more of the concept and troubleshooting techniques. Thank you so much for all your time on these amazing videos.

You are most welcome E02 error is mostly from board and motor if motor doesn't rotate or the control board cannot produce power to the motor, and the microcontroller doesn't receive the motor motion, the microcontroller will generate the E02 in the card failure condition any minor to major problem in the board will cause to initiate E02

I opened it and noticed that one IC (TNY) and resistance opposite to IC are black with smoke. So, issue seems to be here or somewhere before these which is creating spark here. Can you please help me.

Very informative video as always. And loved the sarcasm "i dont say he damaged this board, he destroyed this board" :) I am trying to understand a PCB board for a treadmill. Unfortunately, it works for sometime and throws the error ER01. Manual says its either because of some communication failure, or try removing the MicroController and plug it back. I checked the connectivity all cables between display and this pcb, still the issue persists. But the moment I replug the MC, it starts working. But after running for 10 min or so, again ER01. Motor seems fine, no heating. In such a case when the issue is not consistent, how do we diagnose this board? Any help would be appreciated.

if you want to send it to some local repairman, or service engineer, might be some IGBT, mosfet or rectifier is short circuited, (most of time these are problematic parts) then it will cost approximately half of the price of the board. if you will send elsewhere, then it may cost you above the price of the board, as the shipping, custom duty taxes and other overhead charges will extra than the repair costs. so it will best option choice to purchase new one. it is my suggestion

Good morning dear in this case, 1st verify that tha communication cable is good, recheck it connectors, special one connector comes in the right handle, 2nd. please verify safety switch (magnetic reed switch) if possible make it jumper (just for test) 3rd. check microcontroller response (vcc 5 volt must be there) 4. is there + and - 15volt for gate driver ic, verify the supply (out from low voltage smps) 5. check current sense resistor and current sense amplifier 6. also check optocoupler for feedback
