Hey guys!! 🦋 I dare you to commit to one positive thing you’ll do this summer (big or small!) and comment it here to inspire others 🤍🥰 I’m committing to switching my bank to a greener bank 🫡 I’ve been putting it off *forever* because I hate these bureaucratic tasks, but it’ll feel good knowing my money isn’t being used to fund projects which are bad for the environment!! Huge huge love for being here

For me it would probably be learn about social issues - I believe that we can be the best versions of ourselves when we know how to be compassionate, considerate, tolerant, and understanding. It makes it easier to connect and interact with people from different cultures, religions, and backgrounds

I’ll try to quit fast fashion! I lack clothes for really warm temperatures and I was thinking about buying some but instead I can look thru my grandma’s old clothes. Also, I treat clothes-shopping as a pleasant way to spend time with my sister but it’s definitely not worth the climate-contamination and bad-conditions-unpaid-labour it causes. I think that baking, hiking or just sitting-in-one-room-doing-our-own-things are great alternatives ❤

A note on number #24 if you're in England, the law changed in 2020 to allow more people to donate by making it an opt-out rather than an opt-in, so all adults (over 18) in the England "are now considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the exuded groups", the law is also similar in the rest of the UK and crown dependencies but its good to check what your countries law says about organ donation

I'm new to your channel, but this video reminded me how this summer I bought a couple of packages of ice cream for strangers. I shared it with some girls who were working outside of the shop and were conducting a survey. Just because I felt like it for a moment. I remember as a kid, some guy opened a package of chocolates on the new year and just gave them away to everyone on his way, beaming so brightly! I was like 7 at the time, but it still makes me smile every time I recall it☺️

Another suggestion: participate in a research study! It's both a new experience, helps a specific researcher and scientific discoveries overall. Additionally, you often earn some small money in the process. :) If you're close to a university, it's great to participate in a study on-site but there are also options for online surveys if that's the only way you could contribute. Studies are easy to find if you attend a university yourself but you might have to e.g. reach out to the local psychology department to ask where you can look for study ads.

Jade, your summer ideas are pure gold! I'd already planned to start a blog and learn more about the semiconductor industry for an impactful career. Your suggestion of checking in with a friend and starting a casual magic journal really struck home (already planned a meet with previous classmates! ♥). Last week, I penned letters of appreciation to all of my AS teachers who played a huge role in me achieving 4A's. (Not to my loved ones, but I think I score half marks for that... 😉) Thanks for the inspiration and for helping making this summer one to remember! ☀🙌

16:54 totally agree with you Jade. One of the main export item in Sri Lanka is textile. Most of workers are female. They come from different rural areas and they work from morning to night, and as I have heard their basic salary is like £96. But they work extra hours to feed their families. Most workers are very young, even their accommodation facilities are poor. And in my family it's kind of a principle to buy something with good quality and wear that for a very long time.(until it is UNWEARABLE 😅). Love someone from my generation share the same opinion on fashion. Fashion is something suitable for us, not a trend. Not all fashion styles suitable for everyone. And all the tips are really helpful, gonna try atleast 3 or 4 in my next vacation. Thank you so much❤

This video right here is one of the reason I love this sweetest creature of a human being. Also I love your hair situation girl. Your hair looks so healthy and nourished and beautiful. YOU look SO beautiful. While I was watching this video and as you were listing things down there were some small things that I already do unconsciously that just started popping up in my head and I realized that that must've made the other person happy and that made me happy. Like this one time I was going somewhere and on my way I saw a girl whose scooter was not starting and it was actually just a small problem and I have experience with scooters so I helped her and I didn't thought of it that much until I saw this video. Not that I helped her for praise or anything it just made me feel good to think about that. During the start of this year I created a casual magic journal. I got the idea and inspiration from you. I also started the full moon journal also inspired by you and now they both are filled with so many small little moments that made me happy. I am so grateful to you for that and I am so grateful to have found you. I'm committing to building a carrier to fight climate change and use technology for betterment of society. I am am engineer studying AI and I want to use this amazing technology to help humanity. P.S. Thanks for all the great recommendations. I don't usually trust recs on internet easily but yours I trust blindly. Also sorry for the long text. Thanks for existing

So glad to see the fast fashion one on here :D I started buying my clothes second-hand about a year ago and haven't looked back since- you can find so many quirky pieces for low prices in charity shops. The app Vinted is great too because I love that it helps out fellow humans :) Finding out my bank was 100% green was also a very positive surprise! Thank you for this very inspiring video 🤩 I also wanted to change my bank since forever but did not do it until now for the same reasons as you 😉 I am committing to do it before getting back to classes ! One of the other impactful idea that would have a laaaarge impact is to travel more sustainably (low carbon, locally). For all Europeans here, I cannot recommend enough to buy an Interrail pass and discover all the amazing places Europe as to offer ! I went on my 2nd Interrail trip this summer, and I just love how travelling is also part of the journey :) Rediscovering local / national places around your home is also so nice and will help deconstruct the collective imaginary of trips that need to be at Bali (or any place at the other side of the planet) to be "cool", "worthy" or nice. And I think influencers have a huge role to play into changing these imaginaries and power to influence a lot of people 🌺 PS : as a reminder, to respect the COP15 Paris agreement, in average every people's footprint should be 2tCO2e/year. A Paris-Bali round trip is already 4,8tCO2e, so one spend already more than 2 years "budget" with that trip...

Just found your channel with this video! Thanks for making this video and using your channel to motivate, create positivity, and help others while improving yourself! I have been watching different productivity videos here on KZread like Mariane Cresp video about her well-being planner and a 6 month review video, Tiffany Shelton 12 week Year goal planning videos where she uses a habit tracker, JashiiCorrin mental health journal has videos with ideas like self-care bingo, and Helen from the channel TheCoffeeMonsterzCO has some great journal and planner videos! Kennedy from the channel Cozy K has cozy hobbies to try videos that would be nice for self-care!

#28. Exercise daily. No matter how you like to do it to quote the world's most famous shoe brand, "Just Do It" and do it on a daily basis. If there is one thing I could go back and tell my teen/ early 20ish self it's that. It's so easy in school because gym is mandatory but as you get older and set behind a computer/tablet/TV/video game/steering wheel the worse it gets. Plus Jade what happened to you becoming a Vet? Sounds like you would be amazing at it.

#17 lol im trying…im trying (fall in love 😂) As a woman do people ever get confused with you holding the door as it was classically a more male dominated sign of respect I only say this as i do it and people get a bit thrown by it sometimes like im trying to take something or idk? Ive invested a lot of time into these things…as an aussie some it comes pretty easy the topics i havent had the time to incorporate would be my bank account…and the recommended books you suggested I wonder whether we have lark in oz? The fact that it self cleans is very cool 😎 Thank you Jade ❤
