266 km Triangle in 9 min | Spectacular Timelapse!

A 266 km XC flight in the southern alps in quite challenging conditions. What begins as a normal cross country day becomes a tough battle with the north wind! Relive this flight 64 times faster and enjoy the wondeful views that come with XC flying!

The lower cloudbase was marking the convergence of the north wind with the airmas of the north Italy Milano plains area. Basically a type of small sea breeze front. Your videos are the best soaring videos on the net. If you could somehow get a compas rose on the screen it would help determine you flight direction and also where you are looking for thermals depending on time of day.
These videos are great! I really like the commentary with the timelapse. Its informative and inspirational
Of course I had enjoyed. You are the best ❤️
Liked and subscribed! Amazing video can't wait to see more

great job dude !! 👍👍👏
thx for another great vid
As a New Zealand Hang Gliding pilot recently living in the Alps. Man impressive. I'm slowly trying to break into this place. Nice to see what's possible. Amazing.
veeeery cool, thanks!
Mervelous ! Thanks a lot Sebastian
That's quite a nice flight, and video, + nice scenery, despite the hyper-lapse. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Or because of the hyperlapse? Its always difficult to transmit the feeling of paragliding in a video.
Beautiful 🤩 I learn so much from your videos.
Master at this game
Loved it brother
Another cracking video. Keep them coming. The comment further down about adding a compass would be a super addition if it were possible!
Hammer Ufnahme! Danke fürs Teile :D
Amazing footage❤
awsome idea to film this in hyperlapse !

Absolutely enjoy your video!! would love to see some tutorials on meterology
Woooow! nothing else I can say
Would love to see your launches before switching to a hyperlapse replay. Liked and already subscribed.
Great!!
geiler flug und heftige aufnahmen
grosses kino 💪🏼🤩
im new to your channel but i absolutely love it!!!!!!! Is there any chance you could upload a full video of one of your big trips but without speeding it up. I realize it will be hours long but i think people would love it! i love playing these when i go to sleep or read or just relaxing! thanks man and keep up the great work

a flight like this is 8-9 hours ;-)

Hmm, not sure if that would really be interesting. In principal I could upload the original 360 deg. Video so one could look in every direction. Comment if you would find that interesting!

@@sebastianbenz5336 trust me. A 6 hour video of your flight playing in real time while i study or read or even sleep would be killer!!
Thanks for the videos! Amazing. It interesting for one video and instructive if you explain how do take the decision if it is safe or not to fly on the lee side.
you should keep producing this stuff. there is not much else out there and i think with the dramatical growing number of cross country paragliders this could maybe become a source of income. you could propably hit the 100k subscribers line.
Brutal
cooles Video
As allways, muy contento :D.

Wow, that was impressive! Bet it can be pretty hairraising when you have to cross a big valley with no nice cumuls around. You must use a big powerbank (and card) to keep the camera rolling :-)

Yes, 512 gb and 25000 mah🙃
What a great video! How do you record such a long flight with your gopro? 1tb sd card? 😃
👍🏻🤩
Small clouds lower base maybe a small convergence between the meteo wind and mountain breeze?
Great video ! ... thanks for the share ! (speed of hyperlapse was 64 x ? ... or even greater ?)
@sebastianbenz5336

Yes 64x
Sebastian, I’ve watched a few more of your hyper lapse videos and I’m super impressed. I want to make my own. What is your technique? Do you record the entire flight at normal speed, and then do the hyper lapse in post production? Or do you just rely on your camera’s hyper lapse? What camera and what settings do you use? Thanks!

@Tushar Pokle, here i answer most questions: kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpWTktZmYMKtZKw.html In short i use a insta360 oneR and shoot with the standard settings and speed it up in the (now desktop) app. Have fun creating!
Thanks so much! Looks like your GoPro max is doing an amazing job stabalizing 360 footage! Are you shooting in timewrap?

I'm flying mostly the Ozone Zeolite GT
Hi Sebastian, love your videos! If you don’t mind me asking what is your camera / battery setup? I fly with a 360 cam but have nowhere near the battery power or storage space to film for as long as you do. Would appreciate a DM, cheers!

I use a 512 gb memory card, and an external battery pack: kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpWTktZmYMKtZKw.html
Hello Sebastian, could you please share how the footage and editing was done?
How did you manage to record the whole flight? Where you using an external battery?
You make these huge jumps over valleys and often arrive on the lee side. it looks like you have nearly zero sink most of the time. How high do you estimate your glide ratio? It makes me really scratching the head...
@sebastianbenz5336
3 жыл бұрын
Actually, I had a lot of sink (when heading to the lee side). Its a bit deceptive because everything goes so fast, but it felt loong when hearing the sink alarm for several minutes... I guess gliders like to Zeolite can deliver around 1:10 glide ratio in calm air.

@@sebastianbenz5336 what's your review and opinion for the zeolite as your main wing for xc ??

Have you ever been able to not get lift and end up on top of one of these ridges?
@sebastianbenz5336

If you can't get lift one can usually still fly down to the valley flore, which happened plenty of times to me...
2:30 klingt wie Schwarzenegger 🙂
add a map! otherwise crazzzzy!!!!!
