love the video - like the way you showed all parts of the install especially using the jack stands and the detail on taking out the OEM bumper piece. Thanks.

Great video, really helped me out. The only tricky part were the tabs on the replacement bumper. If you use a screwdriver and push the bumper towards the inside of the car they free up easily.

Love the editing you can tell you put a lot of effort in your videos

Super video! I am too old to do this myself but have definately convinced me to have a Honda OEM hitch rather than an aftermarket.

Good Job. I use aftermarket hitch, it fits but not for full size spare tire.

great video. good explanation. If you do other installations to Honda Pilot please post it.. I want to save money by doing the installations myself.

Great video friend. Straight fwd with good explanation and video presentation. Since you live in Houston, south State, I have heard from guy in upper States where winter season is regular to use a fluid film on the bolts after installation. It protect bolts from rust.

Nice video! Any chance you could measure the distance from the ground to the top inside of the receiver tube opening? I'm trying to determine if the OEM hitch sits higher than aftermarket options.

the OEM hitch is 2.5” higher than the aftermarket ones. That means the departure angle will not be changed with the OEM hitch. Yes it's about $100 more expensive but it also includes bumper panel for hitch, mount points for trailer harness & hitch cover.

@@j8ffshin329 The silly hands-free sensor in the bumper you can kick your foot underneath to open the tailgate. The regular sensors go all the way across the bumper, including where the hitch reciever tube exits the bumper with the new insert. The hands free adapter supposedly has shorter sensor bars.

Does anyone know if this part fits on a Canadian Model? Canadian Parts is 08L92-TG7-300 instead of 08L92-TG7-100 , but is there really a difference? If yes what is it? What about the harness? 08L91-TG7-301 vs 08L91-TG7-101 ? Would both fit on both Canadian and Us model?

Couldn't you have first removed the old cover, installed the hitch and then install the new cover to eliminate the need to drop the spare tire? Seems like it would've simply slipped right through the square hole to install. Thank you just the same for sharing this video. Very helpful.

What i have read about hitch installation on Pilots with hands free tailgate is that you need to relocate sensor to the right from the middle position because of the hitch. There’s the bar that the sensor is attached to it.

Does the honda hitch take a 2 inch receiver bar?
