Welcome to DTW, the busiest airport in the state of Michigan. Metro Airport is the second largest hub for Delta Air Lines, and serves as the airline's primary gateway to Asia for the Eastern United States. The airport has 6 runways, but primarily uses its four parallel runways for operations, with the two crosswind runways being used only in high wind operations.
This video primarily focuses on departures off of Runway 21R, with a couple of rare departures from Runway 22R sprinkled in. Each departure in this video has some sort of wet weather aspect to it. Consisting of either visible water vapor on the wings/engines or takeoff spray being kicked up by the engines, this video is for those of you who enjoy humid operations.

I think the A350-900 departure is my favourite out the whole video. Though I might be biased cos they're always noticeable when they pass over my house on the LHR flypast. Great frame tracking on all the aircraft. Camera and mic quality is banging!

funny im listening to this on 6-24-2024 at about 10:15 EST and there a bunch of planes flying to the north right now , Pattern usually goes right over my house about 5 miles from the airport LOL
i miss the days of the diversity we had in the 70s and 80s there when Northwest was still around before they eventually merged with Delta , and we had DC-8 ,DC-9 , DC-10 , L-1011 , 720, 727 , and 747 , then eventually 737s started

As experience within without Wax my journey into another planet but earth..
A350 is largest that flies in and out of Metro Now,, on a regular basis as 747s are no longer used for Passangers but for cargo,, there was a KLM 747 that did , but i think that one no longer does

Do the wheels still spin as they are raised into the wheel bay? On a couple of the planes, I saw the wheels still spinning as they began to tilt up and into the bay.

The A220 is a beautiful aircraft but in my opinion the jetBlue livery just doesn't look good on it.
