Didn't noticed that 1:58 , great vid, Thanx. That may explain why weapons left behind in the base are disappearing. Nevertheless, some other "non durability" items may disappear as well. like charcoal, ropes.

Thanks for doing this. I learned a couple of useful things from here. Just one comment....please move #26 to #01. I swear to G if I ever meet the dev responsible for the in game mouse I may end up in prison on assault charges.

Recommend using a stone blade as harvesting toon because its the lightest and it doesn't matter what you use as harvesting tool. It doesn't lose durability to.

I like to occasionally use blades as my main tool, so i usually carry 2. One metal, and one obsidian . No particular reason why, i just like those 2. :)

Nice video. No fluff. I also like that you didn't title it "26 things you didn't know about Green Hell" or some similar click bait title. Good content and I definitely learned a few things that will help. It blew my mind that a caiman cannot attack you in the water. A few times I thought I was done for and panicked to the shore but all for naught.

Thanks for the comment! I made a slight error when testing that caiman thing. They can't get you in water, but only deep water. Near the shore they can get you. Cheers. :)

Great video, lots of tips my wife and I will definitely use

You can drop a clay bottle on the ground and from there pour soup into it. Works great for bone infusion, or anything really. At max hydration you can get 5 drinks from it. Not sure if it works on coconut bidons but it does not work with the found plastic one. The blue mushroom stew is good too have as well as it will not expire, and you won't get parasits from consuming it no matter how filthy you are

I'm just starting this game but you can use a half coconut left on ground to get water if it's raining, it will fill up

as usual great tips. thanks :) haven't played in a while. thought the blue mushroom used to give only 5 energy. that must have changed caimans don't attack in water but they to get you on platforms above water or on stones. enemies don't follow you in the water, but archers or stone throwers will continue hitting you and what do you mean that logs and planks don't respawn? when did they do?

They never did respawn, what i mean is that if you run out of logs, You're out. Thanks for the comment. :)

@@HomelessHermit oh ok. I thought the trees grow back after a while if you wait long enough. I once cut down everything on paradise to build a base on the flat elevated plateau above the water and I tend to remember that the trees grew back. but that was a very long time ago

Several of these feel like bugs or features that haven't been implemented yet. The soup one especially feels like a bug. the Caiman not attacking you in water feels like they just haven't added animations and AI for that yet.

Wow, I did not know that logs are finite. Good info.

I like your input and breakdown of the game but why no verbal descriptions?

I wonder how many of these tips are still accurate. the first one feels like it is likely to be patched.

I have seen many streamers with bowls of soups/brews just chillin on the ground. Do you know how to drag them from the fire without spilling them? A quick tutorial on that would be extremely useful ❤️ thx!

3:02 is there any way to quickly destroy palm leaves? I have a lot of them after area cleaning. I can lose metal cans placed on the ground but I can do nothing to remove fckn leaves)

Same here, and the sad thing is that traps won't catch it.

At the beginning in story the birds I kill are over water and it's too deep to collect them an the spear and I cant see coconuts on the trees so I dont throw rocks at them but then again I'm playing on console

The caiman is right there in the right lower corner on the ground when you dive down. 05:02

Throw stones is right stick in for a controller Y is sort for keyboard

you forgot your tip about not drinking unsafe water directly from the source, but to collect it in a container and then drinking from it ;)

Even then you need to stick it on the fire to make it safe...

does this method work with Game Version 1.8.1 ?

Can u craft tribal spear or do u need kill spearman to get it (i just stardet game and this help lot)

You need to kill a spearman, it will have more durability depending on how far you've played in that current save. ;)

Metal has been significantly buffed recently, im not sure about durability. But other than that it's very good.

Can someone explain #3 in more detail? Please? If my thirst is full? Does that mean thirsty or full belly? And what does it double?

Just curious, not being mean. But is english your first language? Cause when he says *thirst full* he means when you are fully hydrated. What he is showing, is if you are fully hydrated. Then when you go to sip on a drink, it will sip on it twice instead of one time. So if you brewed something that would give postive effects or take away negative effects. You will sip it twice and get those effects twice, instead of once.

Mouse base is a pro tip

This is more like an exploit than glitch, but if you have armor on ur right arm, you will not get Rash from ants on wasps

Eating charcoal also removes food poisoning so wood may be a better choice :)

@@HomelessHermit Really? xD Nya, for me it is an advantage because I unfortunately often run in jaguars and pumas because I think they are one of the herbivores and notice the growl too late xx. Although I get more and more used to it x3

IDK why I can't using destroy or destroy stack function it seem doesn't work only lying around is the only way to left them. Any suggest?

Try confirming your game files in steam, that usually fixes everything.

#3 with the two sips for a soup no longer works? Does not work for me.

Make sure your thirst is completely sated. Drink plain water first then drink the soup. Still works as of Jan 2021.

I don't think so, are you willing to relocate? At the abandoned tribal village there are about 3 spawns around the tents. (A jaguar aswell.) Coordinates: 46W 26S Let me know if that works out for you. ;)

That caiman was swimming past you like you were both at your local swimming pool

caiman just ate me in the water so that claim is false or patched

Probably patched jaguars swim and still chase in water now

I just realised my life is so difficult, dangerous and hard, that this game is like a picnic, super relaxing and fun. I live in an actual forest and do the stuff normal people can not.
