Could u do a RH video? In the episode 12 from season 3, if you pay atention to minute 1:57 you can notice that Ainsley has her RH clothes, and then she appears with her SH ones.

Something that always confused me, even as a kid was that sometimes the Monsters were supposed to be living in the human world like in Ghouls Rule and Skull Shores. But other movies had them in a completely monster world, with Scaris and Boo York.

The G1 MH world (as far as I know) is divided in two. Is the same world but Monsters had to create places to live peacefully. But long story short, is the same world with places that mirrors each other

The Abbey one is easily answered, despite Abbey's background as being a Yeti from Nepal (a country in Asia), her accent and mannerisms are more similar to the Chuchuna which is a Yeti from Russian/Siberian folklore. Her father is confirmed to be a Russian yeti from Siberia.

Now I want to see more humanoid ape cryptids in Monster High G3 (since we have yetis and South AmericanBbigfoots). Would like to see Almasty (Central Asia, also reported in Russia/Siberia), North American Bigfoots/Sasquatch, Vietnamese rock apes, yowies (Australia), and Orang Pendek (Indonesia) in G3 (I'm guessing G3 Abbey can have a North American Bigfoot cousin from Wyoming and a Vietnamese rock ape cousin as well).

@@UnicornKitty1 I did google it as you suggested and it doesn't say that at all anywhere nor do Sherpa nor the Lepcha people talk like that and they worshipped the yeti pre-buddhism before it was adopted into Tibetan Buddhism..if you're so sure of yourself why don't you cite your sources instead of telling people to go Google? So you'll delete your comment to me but you won't correct your first misinformed statement because? It's weird how everyone just treats Buddhism like it's a sellable trend.. I've seen it done with native American culture too.. like it's all just free plot devices to exploit and misrepresent due to poor research.. And it wouldn't be hard to actually make her character work with the accent, they just needed to do research and change the background description.. they could make her from Siberia and she could be a Chuchunya and it wouldn't be religiously insensitive and tone deaf. She can still have yaks..ice powers..the fur hat and boots..the accent and technically still be a yeti without disrespecting, misrepresenting or erasing rep..

This is just my head cannon. Draculaura had to flee meaning she had to hide and wait for the vampire allegations to die down. Then because she spent soo long not learning she had to go back to school.

So uhm the reason Draculaura is still in school, Vampire years and counted by the thousand. 1 year = 1 thousand vampire years. That’s the reason she is in high school because she’s really counted as a 16 year old. edit: Sorry i meant hundred years not thousands

Garett has recently confirmed EAH and MH were supposed to cross over and have a movie. I think in that movie we were supposed to find out about Cupid’s storyline from MH joining her new plotline, the Disney vs Mattel thing happened in the middle of this tho, so all we’ve ever seen is apple whites dress, and that she was inspired by the vampires at monster high! Hope that clears up some of Cupid’s franchise switch confusions!

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve actually done quite a few videos discussing the crossover, and the official monster high page shared the deleted clips and scenes from the movie - Cupid was not a part of the plot and instead it was Draculaura and a new character Euna that bridge ever after high and monster high together and shockingly Cupid isn’t even mentioned at all in the plot

I always assumed Cupid was using magic to disguise herself as a normal cherub at EAH, since that school had a prejudice against "evil" and skeletons and bones tend to lean more towards the darker side of stories. That might also be why she never mentioned she was from MH, because then she'd have to admit she was a monster.

That's actually pretty understandable, and as far as we know only Raven and Apple know about the monster world so there could literally be chaos if the wrong person from EAH herd about the monster world (aka someone who would overreact and cause mass panic)

Dracula is older in human years but a teenager in vampire years. Also, crab in some cultures is not seen as meat (like fish isn't a meat in Japan).

I dont belive that anyone has mentioned this yet, but when you were talking about the Toralei/Catty two pack, while I can’t say why she is letting Toralei sing with her when she betrayed Catty, I can say that either on the back of the box or in a diary that came with it, it said that Toralei’s mike was turned off so that people couldn’t hear her I actually own the dolls so I remembered that when you said it didn’t make sense :D

Lagoona’s family rented a house for her near the sea. Also Draculaura wasn’t babysitting them in this picture 0:14 she was taking a train to see her dad. Clawd, Clawdeen and Howleen were also taking the train and they all met for the first time that day

To be fair about the qhouls going to Scaris, Draclaura and Cleo are literally royalty..amongst the monster world. So that iconic scene of the mountain of luggage makes a lot sense, when your dealing with daughters of monsters with great riches and influence. Another reason is since monsters come and very different sizes and have varies of needs depending on what type of monster they are..I'm pretty sure that their monster airport would have a different system then we humans..

A few possible flaws in this video: 1. Stage fright can develop over time. I haven't seen the movie where Lagoona has it, but I personally loved being on stage but now I have huge stage fright 2. Abbey can be of Russian descent. Immigrants exist and it's more than possible that Abbey's parents spoke Russian to her 3. Exchange students tend to live with a family who takes in exchange students regularly, family the student has there or a dorm room on the private market 4. About Komos' birth... You don't need the father in order to give birth. The mother got pregnant and maybe even went in hiding so that's probably why no one knew about Komos 5. (as I forgot this one) I'm pretty sure the mirror thingy with Valentine has to do with the silver being used in them (from back then at least) but he was looking into glass so it's different?

Yeah back then silver was used in mirrors which is a weakness to all supernatural creatures and glass mirrors were introduced in the 1920s I think so it would make sense, doesn't really explain why monster high would have silver mirrors though

Something I always found funny was how all of these famous monsters had kids at the same time. I kind of like how the new MH takes some of the emphasis off of their parents (even if it is likely a licensing issue.) Also how the dorm situation solves the housing question.

Eh, guess someone went "it's a good time to have kids" and before they knew everyone was having kids around the same time. Plus, with monsters being isolated & in hiding for so long, they might want them to be around the same age to make it easier to become friends. Therefore a tighter knit monster community Via the kids.

Depends on the type of mirror. The reason vampires can’t see 19th century mirrors was the mirrors back then had a thin layer of silver which people backed then thought was the purest of metals and perfect for repelling vampires and werewolves, today however mirrors are backed with aluminum and so maybe vampires can finally see their reflection.and a another reason is the belief that when someone dies you have to cover up every reflective surface in the building they died in/their house, including water, because their soul wanders for the first few days and if their soul sees it’s reflection they’ll be trapped in whatever they reflected in forever. Making the no reflection for vampires a lot more sense

Also, some pictures of Draculaura included with dolls specify in the diary of that set that it was taken on a vampire-inclusive camera! I always just saw her having no reflection as a cute reference to classic monster lore, but it makes sense that they’d make occasional continuity mistakes and in-universe exceptions.

I'm pretty sure Monster High was supposed to be a boarding school, that's why they have to ask Bloodgood (who then technically is their guardian) to go to Scaris, probably they decided it to be in lieu of a school trip or something. As for Frankie dying, they literally travelled back in time back then so I imagine they had no way to call the parents back home. As for Valentine, I always assumed he had a reflection because he is an emotional vampire, not a traditional one.

In the Gitty Daneshvari Ghoulfriends book series (part of the G1 continuity) the school is actually confirmed to be a boarding school! They have a whole chapter about dorm assignments, and the main ghouls of those books (Rochelle, Venus, and Robecca) share a dorm room 💖

I mean there was that scene in I think why do ghouls fall in love (idk the one with draculaura’s birthday) and she was having a driving lesson. In the mirror she saw some girls standing in the circle, but when she turned back, Valentine was standing in the centre of the circle, so he definitely didn’t have a reflection then, idk (also sorry for my English💀)

Frankie's age has always confused me so much, in New Ghoul at School Frankie is mentioned to be 15 days old, and in the nickelodeon movie Frankie mentions being 15 and the next day they mention being now 16. So after a week Frankie would be around 20! So imagine how old will they be after a whole School year!!??

It’s fictional so why not? The whole franchise is based around the Monster universe mostly so it makes sense. Other cities are also called differently such as londoom which is london but has mostly monsters there :)

I think the reflection one can be explained due to mirrors being coated by silver therefore some monsters don't get a reflection but valentine is looking into glass so the reflection is shown.

I might have a explanation for Draculaura's age problem, so her age kinda works the same way that animals do. How come? Well let's use a dog for example for us when we turn 16 then we are still very young, but for dogs that is like 80 years. That is how it works for Draculaura but different for us she is 1600 but in monster years she is just 16 that explains why she still goes to high school (btw I don't know if this is true)

That's possible! Though in Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love it seems as though Draculaura doesn't know how to drive as Clawd gifts her a 'drivers test study guide' and she then fails the test after being distracted by Valentine - in the end of the movie they say they talked to Mr Rotter (The Drivers Dead teacher) who agreed to give Draculaura another shot at taking the test.

I think when writing a story that's sorta separate from the series and movie, but still need to connect to it is hard because there are times where the story works for the movie, but end up forgeting a couple little details that were shown and mentioned from the series or lore. Still love Monster High even if there are things that don't make sense. Lagoona's stage fright for Great Scarrier Reef though, it would've been better if she had to leave school for a swim race instead of facing her fears for a dance competiotion.

Draculaura left Valentine in like the 19th century so she probably never had his number. Although it is wierd how or where Torelei got it from 🤷🏼‍♀️

The age thing is honestly weird, I understand she's a vampire and still seen as a teenager for her monster species, but she's even older than Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. Mavis turned 118 in the first movie. Plus I honestly don't even know how vampire aging works in vampire folklore.

for the housing problems, in the book series (yeah I know), it's stated that monster high has a dorm building since rochelle venus and robecca all dorm together and are roommates!

Her design in monster High is my all time favorite design out of all the ghouls. From her hair to her Cupid bow lips is just….magnificent. Her Ever After High design on the other hand…meh. Still love her though lol.

The subject of Draculaura always seemed strange to me, not because she dated a 17-year-old boy when she was 1600 years old, but because she still went to school. Now that I realize that detail of your partner is... something "murky" if we think about it a bit.

Hi 🖤 there are 5 other errors I noticed: - in Fright camera action when the mh are at the cinema you can see operetta that changes from basic to picture days ! -in freaky fusion you can see Lagoonafire who sometimes has eyelashes sometimes not -in some movies Frankie has a tie with card symbols -in friday night Fright I think it's really weird that the gargoyle team never noticed that they had a girl (Rochelle) on their team.. 🤔 - I saw Meowlody without theet in One movie !

I think draculaura being 1600. The idea I got was every hundred years is equal to 1 human year. So drac would be equal to 16...or at least my thought LOL

As mentioned before, I'd say she has a Russian accent because she is actually (at least part) Russian. Her family have Russian names like Frostovitch and Blitnichik, she mentions a "Himalayan" celebrity, her idol Anton Yaklovitch, as well as in Why do Ghouls Fall in Love she says a word in her town for people acting weird is "prelyuvnachichnatchkovitch", so I'd say she IS Russian and always was since her creation, maybe they just called her yeti so they could have a recognizable snow monster, instead of "daughter of the snow monster" or "daughter of a mountain giant", and they were too lazy to search up Russian snow related monsters to call her.

Its not just her being a yeti thats confusing people-its the fact the place shes from isnt even in russia its located around south Asia , i mean wont it look suspicious if they made a character come from a place located in russia yet paint it as an Asian place??(hopfully i worded this right-) monster high was always know for accrautly petroying the enthicity of the characters to fit the places their monster is from(excluding the sitoution with lagoona and Isi) so its so weird they made abby be not only based on an Asian monster but also be native to an Asian place but then turn around and go “no-shes a white eroupean woman now” Also honestly if they were too lazy to do research that aint okay either-you dont get to pick and choose what you feel like adding from a culture it just comes off as hmm🙁 other cultures folklore isnt for you to make mishmatch with if they wanted a russian monster then look up russian monsters dont take an Asian one and claim her as russian instead They shoulda just made her mixed Asian and russian instead so itd be less confusing

Um..... It's revealed in the book "Ghoulfriends Forever" that Monster High was starting a dorm program, and that's where Rochelle, Venus, and Robecca live. We can guess that Lagoona lives in one of the dorms

I think I can explain lagoona’s stage fright from my personal experience. As a kid I was also a dancer, I had zero issues performing in a group or just with someone else in general however I would freak over solo stuff and would pretty much become paralysed in fear. Stage fright can also be developed at a later time too cuz I ended up developing it properly as a teenager. Though in all honesty I think this was probably just a recon for the movie.

Noice. You covered everything that I thought was making no sense for years! For how much people hated on and still hate on G2, it did fix some of the stuff that didn't make sense. At least somewhat. Like Draculaura being that old and still in school. Well if she founded the school and was busier hiding before you could let her age slide a little more. I generally thought G2 plot made more sense than G1 plot. It had potential, but they slept on it. Probably because it was just too rushed and hardly thought about as a result of it.

FINALLY!!! Also, not to bash any film but, I think the live-action filmed handled the plot line with Clawdeen being part human a lot better than the hybrids from Freaky Fusion. Just, actually think about how they were handled and what their role in the story was.

For sure! I think that both had a great message for the time, and it makes me happy that the new generation is still addressing those big topics that endeared so many to the original. But the live action really did an amazing job of representing multicultural individuals, and the fact that such a huge franchise has a biracial main character (both as a half-human, half-werewolf and an Afro-Latina) is so inspiring. I love that kids of all backgrounds and expressions can feel seen in Monster High scare-acters 💖

For the Draculaura not contacting Valentine thing, its very possible that she wasn't able to since at the time they met it was long before phones were invented.

I think that Draculaura’s age, witch is 1600 is referred to her being 16? Maybe that’s why she is studying now and not before, and maybe she didn’t get teached in Transylvania, I mean she was dancing all night in the castle as described in frights camera action. Thanks for this amazing video keep op the frightening good work 💕

I always took it as a "you need to update yourself" thing. Like, you cannot be everywhere at once, so you, even if you live through history, won't know most of it. You can imagine a soldier, who never knew why there was a war, except for what you have been told. For example, there were probably a few soldiers who didn't know that the second world war was because some dude was killed

I don’t believe that’s the case, since Jekyll and Hyde inspired characters are used elsewhere in the plot. I don’t think they’re bringing him back in this Gen, sorry!

FINALLY! Asking the real question, personally don’t care about the logistic of it all, but i’m shocked that everybody praised Draculaura and Clawd as a couple, not even questioning how she’s way older and used to babysat him and his sisters. I guess the bar is way underground… I love Cupid for both MH and EAH, she’s super cute in EAH, but I also love the concept of her, the bone elemental fallen angel/cupid look, there’s something very dark and gothic about it

She wasn't baby sitting them she was going on a train and this is when she met the wolves for the first time Claude looks a lot older than howline and clawdeen but the age thing could be cause vampires are a different species so if you think how we count dog years that could be what the ageing process could be for vampires but then how come dog years isn't added to the wolves in monster high universes since you know their legit wolves and their dogs

As far as I know, Draculaura's age isn't mentioned in the new movie. Since her father went to high school with Clawdeen's mother, It's conceivable that in the movie continuity, she's a normal high school age.

12:03 time to nerd out a little.. it actually kind of makes sense for the reflection to show because the only reason why draculaura can't see her reflection in the mirror is because it's a silver mirror.(That's why old mirrors have that funky look to them) but maybe that's just how vampires work in that universe?? No idea. But if not why doesnt monster high invest in some non silver mirrors?!

what bothered me was that in the show they stated frankie is 16 days old when she first goes to monster high, but she's also 16 days old on her and draculaura's birthday party, and 16 days old when the Jaundice Brothers come to the school. I know it's a play on her being a Frankenstein's monster so she's was just built as a teen girl but it always bugged me when they bring up here age in different episodes where it's obvious time has passed.

Maybe it's bc her body is made up of human parts...that are no longer working...because she's not alive, lol. So that means her body won't grow. She's literally stuck as a 16 year old-

As for the lagoona or gigi one, in the books by lisi harrison it’s confirmed that lagoona lives with her aunt but in the other book series where the story revolves around rochelle, venus and robecca we see them living in dorm at monster high, since rochelle is all the way from scaris and robecca basically having no living folks. Which means gigi lives probably at school with the other and so probably also lagoona ☺️ It makes sense es well but it’s sad we never really got to see that. I also think that other characters like andy live on the campus. And in reference to EAH, they all live at school so it makes sense that it’s the same with monster high I think

It probably has to do with slow aging due to being a vampire and that she has to constantly atend school because the ages change and she needs to keep learning to keep up with the information.

The big thing in the Live Action movie that bothered me was one minute they're singing about how horrible humans are and not 5 minutes later, Frankie is talking about how they have the cortex of the guy who figured out the Germans secret code and helped end WWII, and they call him "awesome". So, like....do they hate people or no? Especially because Clawdeen specifically asks of they think ALL humans are terrible and no one makes the exceptions for the humans who've done incredible works like Einstine, Tessla, etc since they presumably are also real people in the MH universe like the code cracker guy. God I hope that was coherent.

For Draculra idk it’s more of just more of maintaing her young image and she isn’t a “grown women” she’s a teen girl but she’s undead so her age is weird technically she’s 16 in human years but in vamp years she’s way older if that makes sense

About Cupid not telling the students of EAH that she's a monster may have something to do with the cancelled crossover movie. The movie could have explained how Raven and Apple met Astranova and how she befriended them without being worried that she would be feared by the EAH students or at least some of them. Who knows? Cupid may have told them too but was not mention in the animations.

i like to just think my way around these and make little scenarios in my head, like draculaura being 1600, but mentally 16, which is why she is still in school, and also for the same clothes everyday thing, basically i just say that when they all first attended monster high they got to make their own uniforms that they had to wear everyday.

Omg, I was gonna comment that the title of this video reminds me of those kingdomorange videos! Also, unfortunately I won't be able to finish watching this video today. I haven't watched the live action movie yet. :'( My family dropped cable a couple years ago and we don't have Paramount+. I have my fingers crossed that they'll actually release the movie on DVD in the near future, because no matter how bad it is, I would buy it. I own a copy of all the movies and show compilations that were released on DVD (I have the rarer version of Friday Night Frights and Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love, means the individually released versions). I will continue to support Monster High so that hopefully Mattel will continue with the good quality content

Honestly, I agree with throwing Great Scarier Reef out. It contradicts so much in the show plus Lagoona's voice was changed for this movie making it sound off too.

9:18 on the age thing the way I always saw it was some monsters just ages differently. Frankie starts our being less than one month old, Cleo is a resurrected teen, like idk that kinda stuff just fit in with them all being monsters.

People do switch back and forth from vegan to vegetarian. And some vegetarians will eat fish and still call themselves as such. Older fashioned people may not consider fish "meat", which is in line with Drac's old age. I know it's a silly throw away line but if they wrote her as vegetarian for the movie it would still potentially be in line.

I just think 1600 is just a vampire age for 16 years old. Cause even mavis from hotel Transylvania was 118 meaning she’s just 18

I think that when ee compare background things like where the characters live/sleep or where their parents are or if they even exist, ever after high had a better way to show this, and the impact that parents story does to their children. Or where they live (sharing a room at the school, should have done this with monster high too tbh)

OH! I actually know about this one. The reason vampires couldn't see their reflections in mythology is because the mirrors were backed with silver, we can assume the ones at Monster High are too because the school is ancient, but the glass on the picture frame has no silver involved, so the reflection can he seen Nowadays mirrors are backed with aluminum, so a vampire would be able to see their reflection, and I have to assume that Draculaura owns a mirror with aluminum backing because there is no way she would look that put together all the time

Some say it's not that vampires don't have reflections, it's that mirrors with silver in it don't show vampires' reflection. Many old mirrors have silver. Valentine's reflection was coming from a picture frame that wouldn't have silver which was probably why it was there.

Maybe the Laguna stage fright one only afects her as she dances alone? She was seen fine when dancing with other people I have stage fright like that for exaple during a presentation at school, I get extreamly anxious and scared when i do it alone but its much easier when i do it with other people. It feels more like everyone focuses on them instead of just me

One thing that gets be about Draculalia is that in the live action “witch magic is forbidden to monsters” yet, in the og series there’s was a witch pop singing (can’t remember her name at the moment) existed and used witch magic I even had the doll it doesn’t make total sense what so ever?!

Some things that I’ve always wanted to know was like, if Monster High was a high school, do the kids just stay at home until they reach high school age like the purebloods from Harry Potter? Do they go to elementary and middle schools like humans? Also, monster high is said to be the first school to combine a bunch of different monsters into one school, so are each monsters separated from other different kinds until they happen to see them in person? What happens to the hybrids like Neighthaniel? Do they just not go to school? Do they go to a school that caters to only one part of their monster heritage? Another thing, Jackson, Holt and Heath are cousins, right? I get not wanting to have to be there for your cousin, especially one that’s so different from you, but certain scenes had those three acting like they didn’t even know each other. Another thing, Jackson’s family, aswell as Heath, knew of his alter aka Holt, and no one ever thought ‘hey maybe this is something we should let Jackson know since you know, it is his body as well and stuff’. Also there is no way Jackson reached the age of 15/16 without ever knowing he was a dual nature, or even considering it, you know since he’s Jackson J e k y l l. And considering how incredibly intelligent this kid is, I’m sure he would’ve found out way earlier than was shown in the show. Also I get Drraculaura and the vampires being like ‘Vamps age differently’ in terms of maybe like maturity or some shit, but I really need to know why most (Draculaura) act like literally children. I get acting a little childish, but really, especially towards the middle of the show, she acts really kid like?? Like kid I mean, not really teen like. And I’m just thrown for a loop because I get having a childish nature but Draculaura, sweetie, you’ve probably lived through countless wars, lost friends and family, seen the world as it was build and founded, why do you still act 14? I can get her lack of knowledge and blame it on maybe like ‘oh she wasn’t out into school because most vampires don’t go until they can control themselves or some bullshit idk’ but her lack of maturity, or the lack of most vampires we see, is kinda hard to believe if you really think about how old these teens are.

I'm pretty sure different types of monsters age differently, you know like dog years or whatever, some types operate on a different timescale. So I'm assuming that when she was 800 years old she would have the mentality of an 8 year old for 100 years

I really feel like Great Scarrier Reef should just be considered to be G2, everything about it just fits more there.
