I have a spread called "Dopamenu" similar to your mood boosters. Is split in 4, "starters" are quick tasks, "entrees" are longer tasks, "sides" can be done while doing something else and "desserts" are things do make me feel better but maybe not always the best (shopping, junk food etc.)

Great video. I have my mood, energy, seizure and mental health trackers on a full 2 page spread. I find this helpful because my mood and energy level are often times triggers for my seizures, anxiety and panic attacks. A gratitude list has really changed the way I look at life, there's always something to be thankful for, even when your stubborn self makes you feel like there isn't, it can be something as simple as being able to breath.

I love how you said that we all have mental health just like we all have physical health. It's so important to realize that we need to take care of ourselves mentally as well as physically. Thank you for putting this video together. Finding ways to treat other people you can search random acts of kindness and it will give you ideas of things you can do like paying for the car behind you in a drive-through, putting change in parking meters or vending machines, having a pizza delivered to someone's house, helping someone carry their groceries to their car, helping a neighbor take care of their lawn, leaving a plant on someone's porch etc.

to treat other it’s really important not to impose on them. ask what people need. try and make things easier that’s what people really appreciate. fill your friends glass of water if you notice it’s empty. help clean up after class. offer to help someone carry something. remind them you’re thinking of them and you care for them. stuff like that

Omg Jess… thank you so much for your hard work in research and layout planning. Great idea to use green and mint colors, because they are such calming colors =) (I had a mint and grey theme once and it was gorgeous.) I want to write down all of these. Some I’ve tried and failed, but I will try these new ideas. Sometimes it’s hard to separate what’s an achievement, affirmations, etc, too. Sometimes I take notes on YT videos and write them in my BuJo, like ones from Psych2Go and MyStrength app. It’s usually just an overview on a topic with subheadings and reasons why, like “10 Signs You’re Depressed and not Lazy” and “What is Gaslighting?” I forgot I can include my therapy notes and goals, too. I also write a really good quote that speaks to me at the beginning of the week in my 6 ring planner. This week is “Find another way” and some other FFXIV quotes from the healer quest and main story quest (which the newest expansion touches on depression and despair, showing it physically manifesting, how to fight it, how it changes a person, and hold onto hope things will get better T_T

Treating others: pay it forward-I have had several times in a Starbucks drive-through when I get to the pay area and my drink has been paid for by the person in front of. It really gives you a lovely feeling of connection. It can also backfire if you chose to do it for the next person and they have a $50 order. But you can always ask the barista. Another idea is if you have a garden with flower, pick a few and give them to the first person you see. That type of thing.

This was very informative. I want.. ALL of those spreads 👀 I have a suggestion for 'Ways to treat people' Now I'm not sure how to describe it so I'll give an example. One of my friends has a nickname (Bee) because her name starts with Be.. So Bees are her aesthetic basically. And so everytime I come across of something like a mug or notebook that is bee themed, I'll snap a picture and send it to her. Not even purchase the item, just a Pic. And I noticed it truly seemed to lift up her spirits. I guess it gives the indication that you're in someone's mind. One of my best friends also does this to me, she'll send me Instagram reels that particularly 'apply' to me and it honestly means a lot to me personally :) That's one nice way to treat someone without costing anything really. It's the little things right?

My favorite way of treating other people is to ask what I can do to help! Sometimes it can be as small as a glass of water or as bigger like going out to eat so they can vent, but I know I like giving my friend/partner/friend/coworker/etc the autonomy to decide what they need in the moment rather than having that awkward “pay for the person behind you at Starbucks” thing where it’s just annoying and not helpful

  • @FortheBudgies

Ok, OMG, I chose this for listening to fall asleep and it's amazing and literally everything I need right now. I didn't watch, I just listened, which probably made it a less overwhelming list. I could also imagine my own layout or way of documenting these. I'm absolutely going to do this, share this video, and see if I can entice my 14 yo to do it with me. They are having some mental health struggles and their current coping mechanism is to just not do anything when they get anxious or overwhelmed. He's getting into journaling and the esthetics of writing and note taking so this might hit him just right. Actually my husband too. I'm afraid so many ideas will completely overwhelm them and shut them down but I can curate the list for things I see that will help them most. Seriously, this is awesome. Just making a journal like this once would be an amazing exercise. Kind of like a text book or lab manual for yourself. When I started dating my husband I always said I needed a lab manual for him. This kinda seems like one. Make a blank version for him and he can fill it in or I can as things come up so I can remember treats for him or triggers or things that navigated conflict well, ideas for things that we can do together that boost intimacy, etc. Thanks!

Wow this is very good research on mental health help tools. I remember when i had really bad mental breakdown in college i desperately use my bullet journal for a lot of self help prompts to get to the causes of my depression. Then after i come to terms with it, i have this list of 10 square one. Which is things i need to do to boost my mood. The 1st 5 is a basic necessities of eat drink sleep shower and daily praying. Its very important to me to have this list as a reminder on a really bad day. After graduating i use my bullet journal less and less. Now i feel like i need it again but doesnt know what i really should track.

I have a "quarterly wins" section in my work planner, which always is nice to look back on. For how to treat other people, maybe a note of appreciation to either someone you know or a stranger that mentions something specific the person did/does that you're grateful for.

An idea for treating others (and it involves making art, or it could involve making art) This could be for a family memner, a friend, a co-worker. Use index cards as your base and create affirmations on the card. You could cut the cards down into a small size, maybe making 4 from a single index card. You can doodle, paint, stamp or decorate the card in any way that pleases you. Something I did for my son when he was in elementary is I slipped a note into his lunch box. I made up a stack of notes on the weekend and tucked them away with his lunch packing supplies so I could add one to his lunch, especially if he seemed to need a pick-me up. And Wednesday I called "Wacky Wednesday" and I put a joke into his lunch box. The internet has printable sheets of jokes! Jokes could be given to friends or co-workers as well!

Great ideas. I use a variation of the routine spread & bingo board, but as a daily tracker for the whole month. I don’t like spending a lot of time setting up my journal (for me spending a lot of time setting it up is stressful). There are a few things I do for my own mental health most days of the week (yoga, exercise, music practice, enough sleep, etc), and I simply check off each day I do what makes me feel good, as well as a daily mood rating. I also keep a daily gratitude log (again for the entire month).

Another way to treat other people could be sending them a cute animal video.

that emotion wheel I can't figure out how to put it in my A5. I have a bigger version but if I can get it sized down that would be better. do you have any individual videos of a couple of these spreads?

I love this video and the decorations too are so lovely! I honestly want to do every single one of them. I'm wondering what did you use as the 'sleeve' to hold your compliments? it looked like plastic but stronger than like a ziploc bag?

The monthly accessories box from Archer & Olive that I used for all of the decorations in this one came with a little vellum envelope with stickers in it. I just trimmed the vellum envelope to fit into that space 😄

Some ideas to treat others: Make them a card/postcard with some fun doodles or kind words Pay for the meal behind you in the drive thru up to a set amt you can afford Send them a funny meme or inspirational quote Ask if they’d like to go for a walk Send them your favourite recipe A fun idea might be to add some of the options to a jar and pick one when you are feeling inspired to treat someone else

These were made specifically for this video as a collection of ideas for people 😊 I don’t use them all myself. Not every layout will work for every person, so it’s really a pick-and-choose type deal 🤙
